Jonathan's Lady
|
Y'all know I was thinkin about it all through Memoria so here we go: *Jonathan would have told Lionel to get the hell out of his house and if Clark had asked the man to stay, Jonathan would have told the creep " pppfttt My A** I'll leave you alone with my son! I'd sooner throw him to a pack of wolves you twisted old man!" Unlike Martha who just scuried upstares. Martha, Martha, Martha. Have you learned nothing from Jonathan? *Having found out that Clark was held against his will in Kryptonite ooze, Jonathan would have kicked some serious Luthor a**. |

Jonathan's Lady

Martha didn't run away. Lionel came to the Kent house and she left Clark alone with him.
:o
 It just freaked me out because it made me think how Jonathan would never do that and it also gave us a glimpse of what it would be like to have no Jonathan around
:( I think that's what freaked me out the most--two whole weeks without even a glimpse of the man *sigh* If he weren't always being refered to as being sick or weak, maybe it wouldn't be such a big deal. And Martha's "strength of character" line wasn't exactly comforting but at least it was a nice line. Just give me some Jonathan and I'll be fine
 The memory stuff that Clark was dunked in had k-nite in it of course. Poor baby. It was an excellent episode but like I said, all the talk of Jonathan not being well and then having him gone from two whole eps was just too sad for me :( |

I just kept thinking (especially during the dunking scene), "He needs his daddy . . . he needs his daddy. . . . "
:( I'm glad Martha at least got more screentime. I LOVED her line about Jonathan's strength of character, and her glare at Lionel. Hoo boy, if looks could kill! :faint: But there's no reason they can't work her in more when Jonathan IS there. It's just careless writing that they don't, I think. There were several scenes in this past season (esp. in "Velocity") where they could have included more of her without shortchanging Jonathan. I think we all love to see the two of them together, anyway. (Especially when they get romantic, of course! :) But just plain everyday scenes, too.) |

Smallville Tigress... On the Prowl! *GROWL*

I do agree with you but ya know, sometimes a boy just needs his mama too! ;) Okay, I'll admit it, I'm a sucker for the Martha/Clark scenes! Too bad we don't get many of 'em. :( Don't get me wrong, I think it would have been nice to have had Joanthan there too, but I do love the Martha scenes! All I could say when I first saw her in the loft was, "Oh thank god it's not Lana!" :p |

Same here -- I was watching closely as she went up the stairs and thinking, "Wait a minute -- that's RED hair -- thank goodness!" Martha/Clark scenes are sweet, and there should be a LOT more of them. (I love how he's so much taller than her -- it's so cute when they hug!) But Jonathan's best for the strong-arm stuff, like "Get out of my house, you evil Luthor, you." |
