Attack of the spoilers; A request

Don't mess with JS
The K-site spoiler forum has a thread with major season finale spoilers in it taken from the "Smallville 2004 Yearbook" (awfully stupid of them to publish that now, before the season ends!), though they're blocked out so you can only see them if you highlight with your cursor.

But no, I haven't done that -- because I've decided that I DON'T WANT TO KNOW! Not yet. While the suspense -- especially about Jonathan -- is driving me nuts, I want to wait and find out what happens from the actual episode. So this is a plea to all of you -- please, if you refer to any of these spoilers here, put a clear warning in your thread title and/or at the top of your post. I would REALLY appreciate it.

I realize I've probably just shot myself in the foot, because that whooshing sound I just heard was everyone rushing over there to read them. But I knew they'd migrate over here sooner or later anyway, so I just wanted to get this request in before that happens. I may not be able to hold out till Wednesday after all, but I'm going to try to hold out as long as I can.

Thanks very much, everyone!!

I didn't go and look either ;) It's a long enough wait to find out what happens, without making myself suffer for longer :lol I haven't even see Forsaken yet :(

It's good to know I'm not alone! Maybe we can help each other stay spoiler-free. :) Or maybe I'd better just stay off message boards altogether until next Wednesday night. . . . :(

okay soooo...I have no will power lol. I had to know. And I'lls say this. I should listen to myself when I tell myself that the simplest answer is usually the right one and it fits perfectly with the kind of person Jonathan is. :)

Hmm. I think I like the sound of that. And I like the smiley face too. But don't tell me anything more, I beg of you!! (See, I was right, I SHOULD just stay off the boards altogether! But I'm a little deficient in the willpower department myself.)

Well...the smiley is just for the fact that they didn't screw up Jonathan's character lol. I'm not happy per say cuz we still don't know where Jonathan stands after all this--though, yikes I'm scared for Clark :(

lol. Even after the spoilers, I'm still stressed lol. And apparently "Legacy" *did* tell what the deal was but I guess it was cut and held off for the finale. That must be why JS said things were cleared up in that episode when they weren't.

Come on! Hang in there! Be strong! We're with you!! We know you can do it!!

How odd that they originally planned to tell what it was in "Legacy" and then didn't. :/

Oh no! Another one bites the dust! :faint:

Come on, Dawn, hang in there with me. . . . Go read a book, weed the garden, go for a walk, watch Season 1 DVDs -- anything to stay away from spoilers!

Atta girl, Dawn! Keep hanging in there! :grouphug:

And thanks for keeping your lips sealed, Suz! We appreciate it. I hope the knowledge of what's going on will take away at least a little of the finale-induced stress (even though it hasn't done so for poor Smallvillian!). :)

That reminds me of something. You know how, a day or two before an episode airs, they'll start adding little extra things to the trailers? I saw an "enhanced" trailer like this the night before "Legacy" aired, and there was a scene where Martha was standing in the kitchen watching Clark walk toward Jonathan, who was sitting on the living room couch looking very unhappy. Looked like it was supposed to be a fairly big moment. (I think I mentioned this on here somewhere.) I looked for this in "Legacy," "Talisman," and "Forsaken" but haven't seen it yet. I was thinking it must be from "Covenant," but perhaps it was cut from "Legacy" and whoever put the trailer together just didn't know it! So maybe we did almost see them reveal the deal and never realized it (a la the infamous missing birthday party, only this would have been a MUCH bigger deal, pardon the pun).

Of course, having constructed this theory, I'll now probably see the scene in the first five minutes of "Covenant"!
