Got an email from my friend - she said she had talked to John's mom, who had talked to John. John told her he hasn't been in the show very much so far this season. :bawl:
What is wrong with the WB? Don't they know he is why a lot of us watch the show??? Give that man more time!!!

Man, what a bummer! What, they're too busy bringing in all these goofy characters from the comic books to pay any attention to the MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN CLARK'S LIFE? (I didn't say it, Clark said it!) :wall:

But there's got to be at least one Jonathan-centered episode eventually. There always is. Let's just hope it's not the absolute last episode of the season!

Better not!! :beg: :bawl:

But here's what I've been thinking -- and this is spoilerish, so duck out now if you don't want details for seasons 4 and 5.

Someone from TPTB (I forget who) said that Clark would attend community college in season 5 so he could "run the farm." Now, this makes me think that Jonathan will be sick but NOT dead -- I would think if he died, they would just go ahead and sell the farm. This fits with spoilers for "Run" in which Jonathan seems to be a little worried after the doctor changes his prescription. They're obviously not letting the "Jonathan's health" storyline drop, so -- although I could be wrong -- that's where I see it going.

What I'm really, really, REALLY hoping for, if this plays out the way I'm guessing, is a storyline sometime in season 5 where Clark finds some way to heal Jonathan. Goodness knows, with all the supernatural and magical goings-on in that town, there must be SOME way of doing it! (How about they spring Cyrus from "Visitor" from the mental ward, or wherever he is, and let him have a go at it?) It would be the best possible way Clark could show his gratitude for all his father has done for him, and ensure that Jonathan is around to see Clark become Superman and continue to be his mentor and number one supporter. I think that's very important, and not just because I'm crazy about Jonathan!

Here's my two cents...

If they were planning to kill off Jonathan we'd see alot of him this season throughout because they'd play up the whole tragedy...so if Jonathan is scarce this season, it probably means he'll live. This is my hope.

On the other hand, I wonder how they would deal with Lionel's death?

Oh, good point! You're right, they like to really rub it in when someone dies. Ryan totally gets me everytime. I capped it the other day and I just managed to do it without freaking. Sooo, if they were gonna get rid of our Jon, they'd 'rub it in' first.

Sad as it is he's not around that much, maybe its a good thing if it means he gets to live!

I'm with everyone else. What are these producers thinking? Jonathan is way too important to be out of Clark's life.

Lana's the least important person in his life . . . and look how much screentime she gets compared to Jonathan . . . .
