Don't mess with JS
Just a few thoughts:

-- Do you think we'll see anything of action hero Jonathan this season? Last season we'd already seen so much of that side of him by this point! I realize the situation's different and he can't be an action hero ALL the time -- especially after all he's done already. He does deserve a rest. And I realize, too, that he's just as great a guy when he's not being an action hero. Still, I hope he's going to get a chance or two to shine in that department.

-- On the plus side, though, there's been much more J/M interaction so far -- although I'm STILL waiting for them to clear things up about the deal. Clearly she's come to terms with it, but it would be nice to actually hear that, after their argument in "Covenant"! Anyway, loved their exchange of looks over the helicopter incident. And then, of course, there was that kiss from "Crusade." . . . But even their little moments are cute, like putting his arm around her while they talked to Clark about Lex. He's just a natural hugger -- "Oh, you look like you might need a hug. Here you go."

-- I don't think our guy likes Lois too much right now. Did you see the look on his face when she went to hug Clark goodbye? NOT a look I would want Jonathan to have regarding me! Too bad; I was thinking it would be kind of cute if he and his future daughter-in-law took to each other. If Lois could see the softer side of Jonathan, she might let her own sensitive side come out a little; she might even learn to be a little more understanding with her own dad. But it's early yet -- they still have time to get to know each other a little better.

-- Oh, and Jonathan? Glad you missed the whole Woodstock phase. It would have been SO not you. :D

-- About the cigar, though -- too bad. I liked the way he was actually considering it for a minute -- seemed like a whole new side of our guy. If he'd taken it, next thing you know, he'd probably have been sitting in that big armchair with the velvet jacket and rumpled shirt, just like in the promo shot!

Owner of the flying pink monkeys!
well, it's kind of hard to like a girl when your wife had just caught the said girl in the bathroom with his SON who had been taking a shower.

She'll prolly grow on him though. Unless the person's name is Lionel Luthor, he doesn't hold things against people for very long.

Jonathan Fan
Can't Stay Away
I just caught the episode today. With my new job I couldn't see it last night. But I can only say one thing; Lois is one huge pain in the rear end! I don't know why the Kents weren't chewing her out for being rude and impulsive. I would have.

Jonathan's Lady
With JE still out there, I think we'll see Jonathan do some things. I was kind of miffed that he wasn't really doing much period and Clark was doing so much until I remembered he had been in a coma for three months  Then I thought "Well, yeah, it makes a little sense that he wouldn't be out there pitching hay the next day!" :p So I can forgive that.

I like Lois and I think in time Jonathan will, too. Right now she's the city girl who tried to sinnify their little boy that they've worked really hard to teach the good, moral way of the world. And we have to remember that the Kents spent their lives around small town kids who understood the Kent's quiet ways then here comes a girl who lets anything she thinks fly off her tongue and doesn't really seem to see any difference between herself and two older, married adults. I don't think she means to be rude. I just think she sees herself as being equal to them and treats them as she would someone her own age--probably because she rebelled against her own father so there was never the same respect that there is between Jonathan, Martha and Clark, which carried over to other adult figures. But there is a fine line and the writers better be careful not to cross it. She needs learn to respect them as Clark's parents even if she disagrees with what they have to say.

I'm just waiting for more screen time. Jason and Lois are getting more time than Whitney and Pete ever did and it's cutting into Kent time :(
