From the ABC Family Channel Backstage Special tonight (Saturday):

Posted Image

And a quote from the special:

"For his part, Schneider said a little of Jonathan Kent has rubbed off on him.

"'Smallville has helped me, I think, be a better father,' Schneider said. 'I watch this guy on TV and think, oh my gosh, I better be more like that.'"

Thanks to SVN for the link to these. Don't forget to watch tonight! ;)

I'm already taping this for MLL and Gizmo -- although isn't Gizmo in England too? I'd better check and make sure she has a way to convert the tape! Anyway, I can do it for others too. I see in my TV weekly that it's going to run at least three times, so it won't be difficult. Just PM me or post here if you're interested.

I think Gizmo is in Canada! I'm the Brit :( my video is supposed to play US tapes, but I never actually tried one in it. I'd hate for you to go to all that trouble and it not work. Also, how on earth could I pay you?

With screencaps, of course!

It's not really that much trouble. We have multiple VCRs in the house, and as I mentioned, the show's running multiple times. So if you decide you want to give it a try, just say the word. (Do you know anyone who could loan you a U.S. tape that you could test in your machine?)

Nope, I usually buy DVD's these days, as do anyone I know. My DVD player is chipped to play anything, but the video I never tried. :(

If I'm correct, your system simply runs at a different speed, so I think my video can handle it. (The manual says it can!)

If you're sure it's no trouble we could give it a whirl?

Thanks

Jonathan's Lady
I just watched the JS part and I just felt like the interviewer came off a little like a dingbat in that section. "When did you first, as Clark's parents, realize that he was different?" Um, sweetie, they aren't Clark's parents. They don't really know what Jonathan and Martha did or didn't do when Clark was little. And if they made something up, the writers might not be too happy about that. :p I found it a little creepy that she kept talking to them as if they were these people. On the other hand, I both laughed and felt a little sad that AO kept saying "I never saw that scene before!" even about one scene she was actually in! lol But it's sad that she really didn't ever see the show the way we do. It was nice to hear her comment "No wonder people love the show!"

I agree about the interviewer. I wanted to hear about behind-the-scenes stuff, not stuff we can learn about just by watching the show ("How do Clark's parents feel about this or that?"). And Annette was funny -- I was thinking, "Do you ever actually WATCH the show?" But at least she enjoyed it when she did! (I know John watches it, because I remember his saying he and his wife preview the episodes before deciding whether their kids can watch them.)

I thought it was so cute how John was all touchy-feely with Tom and Annette, just like Jonathan would be. But someone needs to tell him that pink is not his color! At least not that shade of pink. And he was sitting all funny most of the time, so the shirt looked like one big wrinkle. But of course he managed to look great anyway!

Oh, and Dawn, I think you're going to like how Tom looks. He has just a hint of stubble. ;)

I noticed that too! He was always patting Annette on the back, and in one instance he touched Tom's shoulder, and I was thinking...Wow, he really cares about them, it's so sweet!
