I just bought the book today, and let me tell you, it was WELL worth the money. i havn't read it cover to cover quite yet, but even just skimming through it, it has a TON of great material. I've run over some really great content on JS as well.

Miles and Al talk about the reason that they picked JS as Jonathan Kent. They said they "wanted a recognizable face on the show" and because he had starred in Dukes of Hazzard early in his career, it was easy to believe that "he could run a farm"

Oh and Renee...you will positively DROOL over the pics they have of our man in this book. Most of them are old promo shots, but he looks so HOT!! Most of them are in Black and white, but there's just one of them in color, and...WOW!!!

Ooh, I'm drooling already. :P: Thanks for the report, Livvie! I don't know why I can't find it around here yet, but I'll keep trying!

Well it was $14.95 before tax was added, but after they added tax it was about $16.50.

So far I've read through half of the episode Jitters, and JS has got some interestinf points of view on a couple of these. In my opinion, that its.

Read through half the episode? Do they have all the scripts in there?

No no. I wish. They have a detailed synopsis of each episode, and then they describe some of the things that went into making that particulat episode. They have little facts that go with each one, and quotes from the episodes, and quotes from the actors about how they felt about certain points in the episodes. So far, JS has had quotes in Metamorphosis and in Hourglass.

As far as dialouge from the actual episodes, JS has had 4 quotes from 4 different scenes he was in. But remember, I've only read up tp Jitters, so he'll prolly have more.

They also have 4 whole pages just dedicated to JS, which I havn't gotten to yet.

I finally got this today (thank you, Amazon.com!). I turned right to the Jonathan Kent pages -- I'm not as patient as you, Livvie ;) -- and almost the first thing I saw was this quote from JS:

"The thing that is important to me to keep going with Jonathan is that the least important person in Jonathan Kent's life is Jonathan Kent."

I have to say that bowled me over. Because that's the one thing I've always loved best about Jonathan, and that's the one thing I always keep at the front of my mind when I'm writing him, the thing that helps me understand and portray who he is. It was so neat to hear it "straight from the horse's mouth" like that! :)

What did you think about what they said about JS in the section for "Nicodemus" I thought that was absolutely hilarious!

Yes, that was so cute! They wouldn't let him roll down the window, so he opened the door!

Annette had some really great quotes in there too -- lots of insight into Martha. I may put a few of them up later if I have time. Among other things, I think they'd be beneficial to all Kent family fanfic writers!
