I'm a bit apprehensive about it based on the advertisements. It's not looking too good. I hope it will surprise me. :( |

Smallville Tigress... On the Prowl! *GROWL*

I agree. I'm not looking forward to this one. I mean that trailer had some stuff in it that, well, I don't care for. So I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna like this one. :( |

I didn't think I was going to like this one either, but I was pleasantly surprised! I didn't like the Abby/Lana kiss, but it wasn't majorly emphasized in a way that disturbed me WAY after they showed it. I LOVED Jonathan in this episode, he was actually allowed to have FUN for once, and I split into a huge grin when I saw it. Is it just me, or did Chloe look a teensy bit jealous at the end? Hmmm? |

Jonathan's Lady
|
Tell me...that this...is not...what we can expect all season :barf: It was just plain ridiculous. The only thing that made me glad I watched was the last scene Jonathan and Clark had togather. More of those *Please* :beg: But as for the rest--We've already covered the beauty issue in season 1 and we don't want to move *backwards* ::sigh:: Not to mention Clark was a complete butt to about Jonathan at first--the way he acted, the way he spoke about Jonathan to Jason. Raise your hand if you wanted to smack him! Oh yes, the man offered his life for you, almost died, and has given you all the love and attention you could possibly desire but lets get pissy because he got to play football in high school and you didn't. Oh please. Clark just fell a few notches there. The last scene they had *ALMOST* made up for it. |

I also wanted to add that aside from Clark there were some great chatacter moments-- Matha and Jonathan Jonathan and Clark (the end part) Lois Jason is really growing on me. It's a shame the actual plot was such a mess and so predictable and boring. And how much more sex do they plan on showing? Still more judging by the commercials. Gag. |

It wasn't as bad as I thought it might have been despite that it was heavy on the Jana scenes. I definitely saw jealousy in Chloe's eyes with respect to Clark and Lois. I thought that was a nice moment and good acting on AM's part. Lois was funny and not too annoying/chatty this episode. My favorite scene was toward the end with Jonathan and Clark "going deep". I also enjoyed it when Lex walked in on Jason talking to Lana, otherwise I don't think I could have stomached that scene any further. Mercifully, they didn't linger on the Lana-Abby kiss. Still, the amount of nudity in this episode was unnecessary. Jason is turning out to be a decent character. Still can't understand what he sees in Lana, though. I liked his little chat with Clark. It was sweet. Tom Welling was less wooden this episode, although I think Clark's being a real jerk with the way he talked to his Dad about playing football and how he has treated Lex this season so far. Is it just me, or did you feel like they cut half the scenes that were necessary to make this episode flow. I give it a C+. |

I loved it… it was great & probably my first favorite of this season…
:D I liked the fact that Clark was vulnerable & insecure. He was trying to find his footing in his so-called life. I found this episode was more revealing about what he is going through than all of season 3 put together. This is what I want to see… Clark going through his everyday ups/downs, the family aspect/talks with him… just him learning to deal/cope. I still kinda wished that they didn’t introduced Lois at this point in Clark’s life but I have to admit I saw a glimmer of hope in accepting it with this episode. JT is ok…he is going to be good for Lana. He’s safe & stable just what I “think” she settled for in the mythos. The episode ran at a good pace & I was glued. On a side note: I just gotta be the keeper of Lex’s pouty lip (when he left Lana’s hospital room)…my heart sank for him at that point & I nearly melted when I saw Clark flash that mega watt smile in the water tank. :thud: |

OMG...how could I forget to write about Clark's smile when he fell in the water tank. That moment when Lois tossled his hair made my heart melt. Am I the only one? Was Lex jealous of Jason and Lana? I hope not. I'm not big on Lexana. |

Well, that was written about as well as you would expect from the writer of "Magnetic" and "Obsession." In a word, terribly. There are writers on this board who could have written a better episode. WHY DO THEY NOT FIRE THIS WOMAN?? To name just ONE of many problems, how was it possible for her to turn Chloe into a ditz?? As some here have said, there were a few good character moments here and there. But I really think they were more due to the actors doing the best they could with what they were given, than to any good writing. And even the J/M moment grated on me a bit. He's worked hard so she wouldn't have to? That was very badly worded, considering she's worked alongside him all through their marriage. I've said it before and I'll say it again: These writers have no respect for stay-at-home wives and mothers. They may think they do, but they don't. (All the time she WAS at home, it was like they had to make excuses for it. I've got nothing against working women -- heck, I am one! -- but housewives work just as hard and ought to get a little credit for it!) Okay, rant over. P.S. Nice pass, Jonathan. ;) |

Rant temporarily restarted. :D I meant to say, you hit the nail on the head, girl. I understand why Clark had to go back to season 1 hair, at least at the beginning, but why, oh why, oh why did Jonathan and Clark have to go back to their season 1 relationship for all but the last 30 seconds? After all they've been through together! |

Yeah, Renee. It really rubbed me the wrong way. This Clark should *not* be your average teenager. At this point in his life, he has seen a much bigger picture and has much bigger worries then wearing a jersey. Maybe if he had given different reasons than he did. Maybe if this were S2, But at this point the football stuff just seems out of nowhere--just like his behavior toward his dad. |

This ep totally p****d me off. Even the scene with Jonathan and Clark at the end couldn't salvage this ep. I can't believe the writers - they're ruining everything! |

I think Clark has the right to do what he wants this his Senior year his last day's in High School let him be in the football team for once in his life so he can brag about it when he becomes Superman in the Justice League Team, anyways if he didn't join... one of the ally super heros like "Flash" would make fun of him :bonk: |

So, on that mentality, he should also have the right to have sex with whoever he wants, do drugs, cheat, lie, steal, and drink while underage, so he can brag to people later on about that? Please tell me you're joking. Clark is still living with his parents, and he has to abide by their rules. I'm glad Jonathan ragged on Clark that being an adult means being responsible. Clark was not responsible, and he was called on it. It was the only good thing in the entire ep. |

Okay, maybe I should have added more to what I was saying earlier...I LOVED Jonathan in this episode. But I wanted to kill Clark. I think I gave myself a migraine when I heard Clark say the words "I wanna try out for the football team" I literally smacked myself!!! (and it hurt too!) |

A Mild mannered historian...
|
Is it just me or could this episode have been done on "One Tree Hill" and noone would have been the wiser? Let's see, we see Clark use his powers when he's playing football with himself at the beginning. We see him use them to speed in to the doctor's office to save Lois. And we...uh, sorry, that was it, I don't remember him using his powers at any other time. Is this "Smallville" or is it "The Mountain"? I'm sorry, but as much as I like the characters and the actors who portay them, I like the action on "Smallville" more than anything else. When Clark utilizes this God-given talents for good, that's gonna get my attention every time. And this episode didn't have it. I mean, AT ALL! And is it just me, or are we really starting to go off the deep end in how we apply kryptonite to these situations. This week, it was some sort of one-time only super-silicon material that enhanced your looks (plus the freaky side-affects). Next week, the cheerleaders add it to the football squad's drinking water so they'll do the girl's biddings. When I was 17-18, it didn't take kryptonite-laced water to get me to do whatever the girls wanted me to do, I guess times have changed. Once again, we have been presented with what I am beginning to consider "filler-eps". These are shows have little or no substance or relevance to the overall continuing plotlines of the show; but give the WB are reason to call it "Fresh". They fill in the time slot until it gets to sweeps week or season finale time so they can get back to the whole Jor-el / Kryptonian Crystal stuff and, generally, don't really amount to much more than an hour wasted out of each of our weeks. I think I'd rather watch reruns than see stuff like we were subjected to last night! Okay, maybe I'm being a bit harsh. No, on reflection, no, I'm not. I started to say there were some good things about last night's episode, but I can't think of any. Sorry, guys, but this week, "Smallville" gets a: 1 out of 5 Stars. |

Well the episode didn't suck as bad as I expected, but it was not good. Even though Clark was a bit of a brat about the football thing, I thought it showed growth in both Jonathan and Clark in the way they resolve conflict. I irritated to see "Showerville" once again. How totally unrealistic...how many teens would make out in the locker room shower when the rest of the team would probably be arriving soon or anyone else could wander through (coach, janitor, etc)?! :barf: Jason and Lana :barf: Need I say more! I think it will be interesting to see how Lex manipulates Jason now that he knows about his affair with a student...especially one Lex likes. (Lexana anyone) :/ I felt very sorry for Chloe at the end of the episode. She looked heartbroken when she realized that Lois and Clark have some sparks flying. I hope TPTB are going to focus more on Clark's journalistic abilities rather than his football fun. We need to see him using his intellect in addition to superpowers. We need to see him making consistently better decisions on his own with less help from Jonathan. And on a totally non-intellectual side...dunk tank Clark Hot! HOT! HOT!!! :faint: |
