Don't mess with JS
Flashback to 2001—Clark with freshman hair (very cute!) at pep rally, trying to dunk Lana in the tank when mascot (Abby) comes by; guys pull off her costume head and make fun of her acne; she runs off crying

Present day—Abby’s mom (Dr. Fine) about to try new plastic surgery technique on her, says everyone will love her

Credits (Chloe’s in them now! Hurray!)

Farm—Clark practices throwing football; Lois drives up and says he should play; Gen. Lane arrives and tells her Met U. yanked her acceptance b/c she failed her final semester (Clark laughs, the little stinker!); she has to take five more credits at SV High

Chloe brings Lois to school, wants her to write for the “Torch”; Lois doesn’t want to

Abby comes into school looking gorgeous; everyone gapes

Chloe and Lois talk teenage plastic surgery (Lois is against it, Chloe thinks it’s not so bad—Chloe! What have they done to you!!); Clark, being a guy, thinks the results of it are great; Lois decides to write an article about it

Lana and Jason make out in the coach’s office; Clark comes in and almost catches them; wants to try out for the football team

Farm—Martha tells Jonathan she’s had an offer to run the Talon; they need the money; J. isn’t keen on the idea but finally agrees

Locker room—Clark tells Jason his dad doesn’t know he’s trying out, Jason agrees to let him anyway

Football field—Clark throws a great pass and makes the team; Abby jogs by and the guys ogle her

School hallway—football player (Brett) who used to make fun of her now tries to make time with her; they go to the locker room and start making out in the shower (they didn’t show a whole lot, but it was still a little too much); she feels something strange and says she’d better leave

He follows and sees himself in the mirror; thinks he’s disfigured (though he’s really not); freaks out and runs off

Parking lot—Lois is driving and talking on her cell phone; Brett runs out in front of her and she hits him

Ambulance takes Brett away; Lois tells Clark the cops think Brett “lost it”; he goes into the locker room and she follows and starts interviewing players; Clark finds Brett’s jersey and the necklace Abby dropped

Talon—Lex and Lana discuss some books she ordered about ancient writings (of course the tattoo symbol’s on one of them)

Farm—Jonathan on porch (denim shirt; I take a drink. Only kidding); tells Clark the coach called him about Clark’s making the team; he’s worried that Clark will be tempted to start cheating and showing off; Clark says he wants the same chances Jonathan had in high school

Abby’s mom examines Lana’s tattoo, says she’s not sure it can be removed; Abby enters and Lana leaves; A. tells her mom what happened; her mom says Brett deserved it and that Abby has to do the same to Lana, b/c Lana saw Abby and Brett together and may start asking too many questions

School at night—Jason wants to give Lana a surprise, blindfolds her and leaves the room; Abby comes in, sees Lana, and grabs the chance to kiss her; Lana takes off blindfold and sees her; Abby apologizes and vamooses; Lana sees herself in the mirror, freaks out (lots of melodramatic fainting-heroine stuff—has KK been watching silent movies?), and tips the mirror over on herself

Lana in hospital unconscious; Jason talks to her; Lex comes in and overhears; Jason introduces himself and Lex recognizes the last name, knows his father’s law firm, admires him for striking out on his own; Jason tries to play down his relationship with Lana but Lex isn’t buying it

Torch—Lois looks at Dr. Fine’s website, makes appointment

Hospital—Clark and Chloe figure out that Dr. Fine’s procedure causes the seratonin level to spike and it causes hallucinations

Lois talks to Dr. Fine, says she wants the new procedure; Dr. discovers Lois’s tape recorder, stops L. from leaving by giving her a shot

Torch—Clark and Chloe look at Lois’s research, figure out what Abby’s doing and why she doesn’t get hallucinations herself—because her mother gave her some medicine to keep the seratonin down; they realize the same medicine will help Brett and Lana

Lois wakes on operating table; Dr. Fine starts to work on her; Clark comes in and saves her, but the kryptonite weakens him; Dr. knocks him out, but Lois kicks her and gets herself and Clark out of there

Talon—Lana tells Jason all her insecurities and he tells her he loves for her inner beauty; I throw up

Farm—Clark tells Jonathan he’s sorry J.’s disappointed but he’s staying on the team; J. says C.’s getting old enough to make his own decisions, but adults in their family discuss things instead of sneaking around; C. asks J. to help teach him to play and J. throws him a nice pass, which C. catches

School—Lois admires her article in the “Torch”; she and Chloe go to the pep rally; Lois dunks Clark in the tank, but he takes it pretty well and they have a cute moment together; Chloe looks a little uncertain about this
