 okay, call me unatentive, but at the end of last season, did Lana not go to college? Didn't she? She said ART something or other. I don't remember if she said Art 'School' or Art College. I assumed she meant she was going to 'college' because, People usually don't go to ART HIGH SCHOOL they go to ART COLLEGE. High school is very generalized and they can take loads of art Classes at a school that has excellent art programs. But...errrmmm... :dunce: I was really certain she'd gone to COLLEGE... :duck: Did this confuse anyone else? :scratchhead: I guess she must not have gone to an actual college then... Why? Because she's back in high-school. Ummm...call me a moron okay, but I don't understand. :dunce: Cause you can't go to college until you've got your HS classes all sorted out and completed. |

Don't mess with JS

I don't think they ever said it was college, just a school of the arts. The prestigious Institute for the Advanced Study of Brass Rubbing and Photography, I believe. :) |

And I'm really thinking it was more a just a few classes abroad (sort of an advanced art studies type-of-thing) and not enrollment in a full-fledged school. This then leaves us to ponder why it is that Mr. Teague is able to leave his duties as an instructor in this prestigious Parisian Art School at a moment's notice to chase after a seventeen year old and then wind up as an Assistant Football Coach at Smallville High School in only a matter of weeks. Either there's a lot more to Mr. Teague that we don't know or the writers are once again wanting us to suspend our disbelief. Something that's getting harder and harder to do as the season gets going. |

Well, I'll grant you that we've needed to suspend our disbelief quite a lot lately! But not so much in this case. Jason wasn't a teacher at the art school, or associated with it in any way, as far as we know. |

That's a really good point Dawn. I don't know if any other country even play's our version of football. (Not that I'd blame them if they don't) If they do play it, then their poor kids have to suffer hours of boredom... I hate football. It takes them four hours to play a 60 minute game. Grrrr... And Jason would have to be extremely carefull about his relationship with Lana. Being a staff member of the school makes it illegal for him to have a 'relationship' of that sort with a student. He'd get canned the minute he gave her a sidelong glance! |

Smallville Tigress... On the Prowl! *GROWL*

Well, I assume she didn't go to college coz she's still in HS. She's a senior now. I'm thinking she was enrolled in a summer art program in Paris. As for Jason? Who the hell knows? I did find that odd tho. And yeah, I can't wait til someone other than Lex finds out about him and Lana. :whatever: |

Knowing lana and Jason i'd be surprised if everyone still doesn't know by episode 11. The classic teacher dating student tv element well lana isn't really Jason's student. But he is a teacher, and can't have a dating relationship with lana. What was he thinking becoming a teacher at Smallville High.He could have gotten a job somewhere else in Smallville. |
