Jonathan's Lady

Would you like to see a final confrontation between Jonathan, Clark, and Jor-El this season? What would you like to see happen? :) |

Paranoid Schizophrenic!!!!!

I really want this issue resolved. Its gone on way too long now, and I hate how they keep ignoring it. I mean, the Kents have just been through that whole ordeal with JE, and now its like they all have amnesia and forgot he exists! I'm betting JE will be back later, and when that happens I want the Kents to get rid of the dude once and for all! I think Clark and Jon should do it together, to show just how strong the bond between father and son is, and that JE being Clark's biological father means nothing at the side of who truly made Clark the man he is/will become. :) |

I would only want to see it if (1) they gave it to one of their best writers (Loeb would probably be my choice, although I guess there are a few others who could bring it off) and (2) they didn't make it into one of their famous "We've already seen that done half a dozen times!" scenes. But JE does need to be taken care of SOME way. I can't see Clark wanting Jonathan to be involved in that, after all he's already been through -- but neither can I see Jonathan content to wait on the sidelines. I'm sure he'd find a way to barge in, even if Clark tied him to the sofa or something.
;) Of course I want to see JE destroyed. But I'd like it even better if Clark found out that JE had the power to heal Jonathan's heart, and somehow forced him to do it. (Don't ask me how, though -- I'm just an armchair critic, not a sci-fi writer!) Oh, and Dawn, haven't you realized by now? Football is WAY more important than Jor-El. :/ |

::snort:: Isn't that the truth. You don't know how I wanted to SMACK clark during Facade. I was thinking "Clark! The man just three months in a coma trying to save your butt! Martha! where's Martha?! I'm gonna tell your mama on you, boy! When she finds out how you talk to *her* husband after she spent months crying and praying! Run and hide, boy! RUN. AND HIDE. Personally, I would love for Clark to try to take out JE because of what he did to Jonathan. Oh! OH! What if Jonathan were dying and Clark went into a rage and went to the caves to destroy JE and in the process JE offers to spare Jonathan to avoid being destroyed. |

Wow. Note to self: Add Smallvillian to the list of people you do NOT want to make mad. :D Cool idea. Of course that means JE would still be with us, but I can live with that if it means Jonathan makes it. One question, though, just out of curiosity: Are you going on the theory that JE is still making Jonathan sick? Or that he's no longer able to do that, but the damage he did during s3 was bad enough to kill Jonathan? (I'm kind of inclined toward the latter theory. But then, when you think about it, why WOULDN'T he still be able to make Jonathan sick? Just because Kal-El was destroyed? Darn it, "SV," we want answers!! :wall: ) |

Honestly I don't know where they could fit Jor-el into this season. But I would like to see all these issues resolved soon. Like I've said before Jor-el is not going to leave Clark alone. And that makes me mad! :argue: |

More thoughts on football: The more I think about it, the more I'm starting to realize this has been a sort of theme from the very beginning. Jonathan's attitude: "I'm proud of you because you're a kind, caring young man with incredible powers that you use to help people." Clark's attitude: "But I want you to be proud of me because I'm really good at football." Seems incredibly strange to me, but maybe it's just a typical teenage male thing? At any rate, I hope Clark outgrows it! (If he just wants to make a splash on the football field because Jonathan did, it's about time he figured out that J. has set examples for him to follow in far more important areas!) |

It must be a man thing. I'll always remember my brother not bothering to do his school work, and when the teacher asked him why, his reply was I'm going to be a truck driver, just like my dad! I don't need all these subjects for that! (The only thing was dad progressed to management and my bro didn't) My dad hates football, and that rubbed off on my bro too, I guess Clark is just the other way around and likes it like his dad. I still want to see JE 'removed' and I think that will come later in the season. Hopefully... |
