Paranoid Schizophrenic!!!!!
|
:scratchhead: Has the season come out early? I just got an e-mail saying mine was despatched and I don't think that can be possible, can it? The only thing I can think of is they've sent it early because it will probably take over a week to get here from the US and will therefore arrive on release date? What do you guys think? It would certainly be good news for site caps! :D |

Don't mess with JS

Sometimes DVDs do get shipped before the original release date. But it's really unpredictable -- sometimes they get shipped late instead of early. I've had both happen. I didn't order from Amazon this time because I wanted to get it the day it came out, and I knew it wouldn't cost too much more at the local Best Buy. Now I'm wishing I had! Oh, well. Let us know when you get yours -- I want to hear all about the gag reel! :) |

FYI I was looking through my weekend circulars and the “Best Buy” store chains are giving a poster with the new season 3 DVD. The poster features TW & C. Reeve on it. I also notice this store is selling the DVD the cheapest at $39.99. Also if anyone collects the SV comics books… #11 is the last one. They are only going to do timed special editions. |

|
Thank goodness my Best Buy had it. (In fact, when I called to check, the guy responded in this "Well, of course" kind of tone. Guess he doesn't know much about their NJ branches! So sorry to hear about that, KM.) Of course the first thing I watched was the gag reel! Great shots this time, although you were right, Dawn -- the absence of Tom is really strange. No Tom in the gag reel OR the commentary -- gee, do you think he had a falling out with someone? And you were right about something else: John S.'s appearance was exceedingly brief, but he looked adorable. Don't know if you caught it, but that was also him calling something like, "Wanna do it again?" when Allison and Michael messed up their "Talisman" scene. And speaking of "Talisman," I also watched those missing scenes. The Chloe/Lana one was kind of lame, and frankly, I'm not sure what JS was thinking with all those closeups -- he practically had the camera up their noses! But the birthday party scene was great. Ah, what might have been. . . . |

Hey Guys I have The DVD & The postcard (the post is really cool, ) As for the Dvd here's what I have to say {Note I'm not going to tell you every detail like the last time for those who don't have the Dvd yet.] My first impression when I opened up the packaging was one of surprise. It would seem the powers that be at the WB do listen at least to some of their fans requests! While season two was flimsily packaged, forcing the owner to pry out one disc to get at another, the third season has reverted to the stronger type, one disc per casing design used by season one. It’s a much ‘safer’ idea for the discs, and much easier to get them out without being some kind of magician. The WB has also managed to get the infamous ‘booklet’ into the box set too. (At least in my set there is) As for the spiecal Feautres The ‘Exile’ and ‘Memoria’ commentaries were by far the most interesting for me. Michael Rosenbaum’s remarks lifted the whole thing to a different level.(he is really funny) There’s also a teaser comment made during the ‘Exile’ commentary that may link to spoilers for the season four episode ‘Unsafe’. Some of you may like this idea. Some will most definitely not. I’ll say no more until you hear it for yourselves. The ‘Truth’ Commentary was very slow for me. John Glover doesn’t seem to have a lot to say, and leaves most of the talking to Allison and James Marshall. I would have liked to have seen Tom, or Annette O’Toole/John Schneider do at least one of the commentaries.(I loved Tom's in season 2 he was funny.) On the season two set my favourite addition was the gag reel. It was plain hilarious. This time though, unless I missed a whole chunk of them - and I don’t think I did there is not ONE outtake involving Tom Welling! . Michael Rosenbaum, the set prankster takes up most of the gag reel(Which I still enjoyed) The SMALLVILLE: The Heroes Behind the Camera (behind-the-scenes production documentary)was great, My dad enjoyed that one. The Deleted Scenes I enjoyed too Deleted Scenes: "Exile" and "Slumber" Deleted Scenes: "Shattered" Deleted Scenes: "Velocity," "Obsession," "Resurrection," and "Crisis" Deleted Scenes: "Memoria" Deleted Scenes: "Talisman" and"Forsaken" As for The Chloe Chronicles nice way to end off with Pete & MB(ops wasn't suppose to tell you that.) The Chloe Chronicles: Volume II (webisodes) Smallville Comic Book Issue #8 (menu based - interactive comic book - bridges the story between Chloe Chronicles 6 & 7) So All in all I like the Dvd the cover didn't do it for me because it wercked the patner from season 1, but hey thanks to another go friend who is art desginer, He made one silmalr to The Fan art one with Clark facing metoropils in color which is petty cool. So instead of My cover being purple It yellow with Clark look at Metroplis. Also I got my poster from best buy,in Chelsea section of NYC , But the work/ my friend said that their are only 20 posters. And their warp it the Dvd.so it hard to tell which ones have the posters. B) |

Don't mess with JS

Hey, does anyone know where to find the "Exile" missing scene? I don't see it on the Disc 1 menu, but maybe I just wasn't looking hard enough. Oh, and did anyone else see the missing scene from "Forsaken" yet? It's the return of Mr. Bunny Buns! Snarky will be so pleased! :D |

Yay for bunny buns! :P: That made me laugh. Well, here's my two cents on Season 3 DVD's Excellent "heroes behind the scene" segment. Good details, interesting and informative. Negative on the commentaries. Allison and James did most of the talking and they didn't show their faces at all. Overall the commentaries were more chatty than discussing the episodes. What I'd really like is Tom and Michael doing a comentary about an episode where their characters have a significant arc (if it ever happens in season 4). Gag reel was funny, but not as good as I expected. No Tom or Annette and only one shot of JS. We definately need a longer gag reel with outtakes from ALL cast members not just Michael. Deleted scenes--could do without or at least less of them in exchange for cast interviews about their favorite scene or episode to shoot. If I have to hear about "Lana and Clark's chemistry" one more time, I'm gonna scream!!! TPTB need to get it through their head that these two do not have chemisty, are BORING to watch, and tick off a majority of the viewers!!!! *calms down* I had to go to 3 different stores before I found one that had the DVD's in stock yesterday. I found them at Target for $39.99. The other stores had them advertised, but said their product didn't come in. I refuse to purchase DVD's through Amazon because they screwed up the order on Season 1 for me. Not only did I get them 18 days late, they sent a second set a week later that I had to return and then claimed I didn't return it--what a hassle trying to get that straightened out. |

I got my set yesterday at Circuit City. They didn't have any out in the store, but there were some in the back. The store had an order in earlier that day and didn't get to unpack all of it. A few of the employees looked through the boxes and brought out a set for me.
:) I didn't watch all of the deleted scenes yet or any of the commentaries. I liked the gag reel (except for the lack of Tom) and the Heroes Behind the Camera featurette. |
