Nice job on this, MLL. And I hope you're planning to write those future "rants" you referred to -- I'd very much like to see them. :biggrin:

Great article MLL! This is the kind of thinking that hooked me on the Superman story. I find it fascinating that Superman has endured through the years to different generations without compromising the ideals he embodies.

My dad was a "Superman" to me not because he was perfect--he wasn't--but he did stand up for his beliefs in the face of opposition, instilled integrity in me, and lived his life as an example to be followed. Like Superman, my dad was able to inspire others to to the right thing even in the face of personal sacrifice and perseveres during adversity which is the essence of a true hero.

Chris Reeve is perfect example of a true hero not just because everything he accomplished after his accident, but how consistently he lived his entire life with purpose and determination.
