*singing*

When the moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligns with Mars
The peace will guide the planets and love will steer the stars

This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius
The age of Aquarius
Aquarius
Aquarius

Harmony and understanding
Sympathy and trust abounding
No more falsehoods or derisions
Golden living dreams of visions
Mystic crystals revelations
And the minds true liberation

Aquarius
Aquarius

When the moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligns with Mars
The peace will guide the planets and love will steer the stars

This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius
The age of Aquarius
Aquarius

I had to do this ... ;)

Honestly, so far I'm not that impressed. Something's off with the pacing -- whether it's the writing or Ritchson's acting, I'm not sure. Leaning toward the latter, though. It sort of feels like Erica's trying hard but doesn't have much to work with.

Marsters is doing a good job, though.

I take it back. It's Ritchson's acting AND the writing. What the heck happened to DeKnight after "Run"? Someone needs to lock him out of the writer's room and not let him back in. :/

Is it just me, or are Clark and Lana acting very stiff and awkward around each other? Maybe it's just me.

Honetly I wasnt impressed at all. I think Ritchsons acting was very poor, and other than the James Marsters scenes and the Lex scenes i thought the episode was poor overall.

Dont even get me started on the scenes for next week. :whatever:

I thought the episode was better than "Run".And best of all the episode made a Bart Allen/Flash reference.

Though in the opening scene at Crater Lake caught my attention. Ok I don't want to sound like a perv when I say this. But did Erica Durance get an "upgrade" over the summer.

Can we say yawn fest :o: …it was very, very mediocre :thud: ooops I fell asleep...:X
It had way, way to many cheesy fish reference dialogue that was driving me nuts…thank goodness I’m a vegetarian cuz I would have given up fish after this episode if I wasn’t. Arthur was cute/soft spoken but lacked some edge/timing and if he said “bro”one more time I think I was gonna go belly up like the fish. The episode just didn’t flow for me.

 Where was the rest of the cast… no JS, AO or JG… and poor MR was really trying to work that dialogue that was not up to his acting standards :shakehead: …plus he needed a shave. :whatever:

Nothing really thrilling…it felt really comic bookish, I know that sounds weird… :well:
Overall a C for an under done fish story…

Side note: AC called Lex Q-ball… I’m the keeper of that Q-ball.

No. No offense to you but I'm sick of people (not here) in Smallville related sites questioning that. Did they "move" like fake boobs? Heck no! I cannot stand that superficial questioning of an actress any time she's got an outfit that calls attention to her physical attributes. HUGE pet peeve of mine, sorry for the break in discussion. :whatever:

I thought it was the best episode ever. I really oughta quit boards. They do nothing but tick me off.

Yes, that probably is something we shouldn't talk about. Especially on a family-friendly board. Anything like that, whether true or false, is the actors' own private business.

Yeah this episode wasn't that great. AR is cute but some of his scenes made me cringe.

Enjoyed the Dr. Fine scenes. A bit disconcerting though. I kept waiting for the British accent.

But the best thing was the return of Lois. How I missed her. Now why can't they give us some more Chlo-Lo scenes. Or you know what more girl bonding. That would be alright too.

Ah well, I'll take it for what it was, an enjoyable hour of mindless tv. But thirst looks a little awful.

Well it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The cheesy dialogue was a bit distracting. I agree with Knight, it was a little comic bookish tonight which isn't entirely bad as long as it isn't done every week. AC's acting ability left a lot to be desired. Dr. Fine on the other hand was believable.

The Clark/Lex scenes were good and so were the Dr Fine scenes. They saved the episode from being a total yawn-fest. I even liked the closing loft scene with Clark and Lois. It's nice to see moments of kindness mixed in with the snark.

Overall this week is a C.

I'm still happy with Season 5. We have continuity, decent forward motion, evil Lex while still able to evoke sympathy from us, and an intriguing story arc with Lionel/Jor-El.

I'm very worried now that I've seen the previews for next week. I think we're heading for the low-point of season 5. Perhaps they'll get the crappy one out of the way early so we'll have good episodes for the rest of the season (I can hope!)

Not really being a comic book fan, the premise of this episode scared the heck out of me. I really thought I was going to hate it...and yet I DIDN'T!

Now, don't get me wrong. It definitely had its low points, but it was still a heck of a lot better than I expected, and I quite enjoyed it! So far, season 5 is getting a lot better grades from me than season 4 did.

I liked the continuity, yay! I liked Lois (Especially the end scene. I love it when we see a glimpse of the future Mr & Mrs Kent) Clark has finally seen the light with Lex, and there wasn't much Lana. What more could I ask for  :D

Once again, sorry to dissagree with the 75% of you but I actually loved the episode. I guess I'm a sucker for episodes with Justice League members, the JLA was always my fav. :coolyo: I thought it could've used more but I still think it was nice.

Favorite Parts

  • The "Aquaman" vs. "Superman" Fight Scene
  • How great Clark and Arthur got along
  • Even though I'm a fan of Clois, I liked Lois having a love life. ;)
  • And last but not least, Lex---he's soooo eeevil. :evil3:

Stuff I Hated

  • How Aquaman never embraces his other powers besides swimming fast and breathing under water
  • Even though I liked it the Aquaman-Lois thing started to get annoying
  • ...and how Martha and Jonathon weren't in the episode---at ALL! :o
