My favorite was one of Clark's lines: Secret or no secret, you stay away from my mother, or you'll wish I'd never saved your life." I just loved the way he said it, you knew he meant bussiness.

Smallville Tigress... On the Prowl! *GROWL*
I like that one and when he said:

Clark: Don't call me that! Joanthan Kent was my father!
Lionel: I'm not trying to take his place..
Clark: You couldn't!

I think it's a bad sign that our "quotes" threads are getting fewer replies in them. It really speaks to the writing.

The whole CK/Lion-El confrontation at the end would qualify as a memorable quote for me, but that's really it.

Chloe and her quick reference to Lionel as Darth Luthor… was cute.

Yes that very cool :coolyo: ... my poor Lexy-poo is always getting burned by daddy. Lionel is such an cruel pappa-san...he has the most perverse love for Lex.

When Lex at the end asked Lionel about what he meant about Clark being special and Lionel replied with something like "I meant Clark is the son that a father could be proud of" [something along those lines]...man did my heart go out to Lex..I felt so bad :( i just wanted to give him a big hug lol

Hmm... I have a theory as to why Lionel seemed to be having head pains...

Just a warning: the theory seemed to make sense at the time...

Has it occured to anyone that maybe it wasn't Lionel that was speaking to Clark? What if it was Jor-El? I mean, think about: do you really think that Lionel would be as understanding as he was during the episode? The Lionel I know would have Clark tied up and under green kryptonite halogen lights faster then our lil Supes could blink...

No, I believe that it was Jor-El that surfaced during parts of the episode, especially at the end between Lionel/Jor-El and Clark...

Now, as for the head hurting... Once Clark left, Jor-El gave up possesion of Lionel for the time being, which must have hurt, as pointed out from Lionel's reaction...

The pad and paper? Lionel must not know what happens when he is Jor-El, or at least he loses his meory of the possession rapidly, which is why he was scrambling to write down the events which just happened, as a back up for when he is possessed... Or when he loses his memory of the event, as he will. Later on he
will be able to look upon the paper and understand the forgotten events...

May seem far fetched, but it is the theory that I have high hopes for... I think it'd be an interesting storyline/arch, don't ya think?

Edit: Oops, posted in the wrong section... sorry!

That's as good a theory as any.

My theory was sort of opposite. When Lion-El clutched his head, Jor-El was asserting control. But your reasoning makes sense as well.

We will have to see. Only 3 more episodes left until season break.

Then What?? No Smallville until September and no Battlestar Galactica until October. It's going to be a long summer......

I felt bad for Lex too. It never helps when your father acts like he doesn't love you and then praises someone who's not your friend any more. You could just see the pain on Lex's face when Lionel said that Clark was a son to be proud of.

I really liked the ending scene between Clark and Lion-EL. I watched that part twice.
No one has mentioned this so I thought I would. What about Martha.. "Stand for Truth, Justice and the American Way." as a Supes nod.

I also felt bad for Lex when Lionel was talking about how Clark was a son you could be proud of.
