Beside Clark
|
This Episode was awesome. (Even though I had a hard time understanding how Oliver got poisoned). All throughout the whole show I kept hoping they wouldn't kill Oliver Queen off. I also thought it was odd the whole time Oliver was out of it, he kept dreaming that he was back on that Island with Mercy(Is that the new villian's name?) At the End I got a bad feeling that Tess (Mercy) is the bad villian that Smallville Writers kept talking about. I just hope she doesn't wind up trying to seduce Clark. It was nice to see Lois (Erica Durance) playing Nurse with Oliver. |

I liked this episode a lot better than last week. It was interesting seeing the past. For some reason I've become a fan of Oliver Queen. Seeing his past and how he became the Green Arrow was interesting. Clark still has his island to go through. I really liked Lois this episode. I like it where she has emotions and doesn't know what to do with them. Her taking care of Oliver was sweet. |

Can't Stay Away

I liked this episode compared to last week's. The only thing I didn't care for was Oliver's arrow practice on the island. A little too much like Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves in how the arrows would go in slow motion and split another arrow. That and them leaving that man on the isalnd was what I didn't like. I understand that the man was evil and killed Tess's friend and held Oliver and Tess hostage, but if the Green Arrow was supposed to be the good guy he wouldn't leave anyone behind if he didn't like them. Would he? Interesting how Chloe got her reading-at -the-speed-of-light- power. At least they explained it this time; that Brainiac did it to her. I think Chloe was right. It was a bad thing that turned good. I liked Lois last night. It was sweet how much she cared about Oliver. Lois crying is not something we see often. Maybe once or twice a season. Now Tess. I liked her in Oliver's flashbacks. I thought she seemed sweet enough. She even cured Oliver with the enzymes from leeches, but when Oliver got poisoned the second time I seriously thought she poisoned him since it had been done before to him. After I found out that she had nothing to do with it I liked her until she poisoned the guy that had kidnapped them on the island. All in all I liked last night's episode. I hope next week's isn't as lame as it looked in commercial. |

I enjoyed the character scenes in this episode the only thing I hated was the Oliver flashbacks. For one we never get a clear timeline of when it happened, just that he was on there for 2 years. And second it's a huge continuity error, since the pilot is set in October 1989. And it's implied Oliver has been on an island the whole time so the episode was a disappointment. Next week's episode sounds like Lois is going to be jealous of Maxima. |
