Hello new and old members!

To all new members: HIYA. I'm JoKeR. Do you like coloring? Good.

Anyways, the introductory will work similar to a FAQ right now, but I thought it'd be necessary to clear up a few things.

So, why is it Soul 2 Society: A second roleplay forum?

I made the original Soul x Society forum for my friends and I to roleplay about our newest favorite anime: Bleach. It was an amazing success and we had 64k posts from 11 users (after a cleanout of inactive users)
But, this was at least 5 years ago. And we've grown up, and want a fresh start at all this. I know the SxS is what got me into making original character, not just characters based off someone else's artwork. It got me to be a writer and an artist. So, I'm bringing it back (with help of buddies of course =P)

In short: Out with the old, in with the new. A chance to redo what our characters did so poor-grammary ago. The old site will be kept for archival purposes (reading old forums for fun, getting your character's info, etc) but will not be used to roleplay past now.

New Users

To any user that stumbles upon this: Welcome! Things may seem a bit confusing because thr 4-5 very active users on the old site will probably take off right away. We still encourage new users to join in on the experience, and any questions can be asked to a mod promptly.

Returning Users
This might sound cheesy, but I randomly had the idea to remake this board at work. Don't ask why, but it was a pretty good trip down memory lane.
I'm hoping we can truly make this a fresh start, and to keep it fair to any new user that might come around-- What happened on SxS never happened here.

You are still encouraged to reinact what happened then, though. Whether it's Karayan creating Gina, SCARAB running amuk for Zephyr to chase down (and fail, hurp), and even falling in love again.

Go for it. If this site just turns into a updated-style-and-marysueless-version-of-the-old-one that is awesome XD
I do reccommend not bringing all of our character over. Later on you can continue adding more, but keep the numbers down for now. Especially since not all of them got used *shot*

To all users: Go have fun, already!

To those of you wondering what SCARAB is:

SCARAB is essentially a group of people that really hates the shinigami. They are led by a man called "The Jackal", and between him and the other hundreds of members, they wreak havoc on the Seireitei. Why? To put it simply, they feel that the shinigami are hypocrites for helping only their own (or those potential souls that could become their own) while shunning the rest of the souls into poverty. Like, if you're in the walls, you're rich, but if you're outside of the walls, you starve. It doesn't matter that the shinigami try to protect the souls. The shinigami are ineffective. If a shinigami tries to do something to help those in need, the captains get rid of the person, forcing that shinigami to be unable to help anymore. For this, SCARAB condemns the Court Guard Squads to misery and death.

Becoming a member is not the easiest, but it is possible. Members of SCARAB are everywhere, and if they spy somebody of interest, generally, they will report it to the Jackal. He decides whether or not a person is of use.

Concerning the canon Bleach:

I realize every so often that for posts to make sense (especially mine, since I followed Bleach heavily), some prior knowledge of Bleach needed to be known. Here are a few points to consider.

General Knowledge:
--Before criticising any comment of "this is how it is and always has been", please make sure you follow Bleach. I make the mistake of not knowing all about hollow and their tradition, such as others may forget about shinigami and theirs. It's uneccessary to follow Bleach heavily to stay on the site, but be aware that references made should be of general knowledge.

--English translation is used as well as Japanese! The most common would be Shinigami vs. Soul Reaper, or Seireitei vs. Soul Society. We flipflop. If a word doesn't register with you, ask or look it up before assuming it is something new.

Concerning Shinigami and Soul Society:
--The one thing that was previously thrown out was that captains know their bankai and vice captains do not always know theirs. (in exception of Kenpachi). I put in the character sheet that bankai is a very advanced move, as proven in Bleach. In later prats of Bleach, yes, lower seated members have learned bankai. But unless your character has specifically been perfecting themself to that level, they shouldn't know it when they are not in the top 10 or even top 5 seats.

--Division still have their place. 11th division is still the front-line fighters. 4th division is still the healing division, and 12th is still technology and science. Divisions that do not have jobs that I am aware of are 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, and 13th. The others all have specific ideals that are expected to be in said division. (Exception of 2nd, as only higher positions worry about being ninja-like or managing the prisons)

--Old characters of Bleach may be used as filler. Do not create them for manipulate your way and use as a frequent character. (Hence: I can say Rangiku took Renji and Zephyr out for reckless drinking. I cannot Take Renji to a bar and have a conversation with Gavrail, walk him home, and go fight some hollows for Byakuya, and repeat with his hangover the next day.)

Concerning Vizards and Bounts

--I know nothing of Bounts. Please do your research before creating one.

--Vizards I am indifferent to, I know they are shinigamis mixed with hollows, and are disliked by Soul Society. Please do your research to inform the mods of whatever you are planning.

Concerning Arrancar and Hollows

--Arrancar have several class systems: Espada as the highest, Numeros in order of their creation, Fraccion as chosen servents of Espada, Exequia as hollowified guards, and we've never used ex-espadas whos name escapes me. Be wary of what number you choose for an espada or numeros. Please explain why they outrank the previous espada also.

--There's also different ranks of hollows, menos class and gillian class with other subclasses. Research please.

Concerning Humans

--They are human, spiritually aware or not. Reiatsu will hurt them. Too much physical damage will hurt them. They are seen by the general public and therefor are concerned for their social status. Keep in mind, yo are making this person to function in society, just as you do.

--Spiritually aware humans are subjective to random hollow attacks. It's what they do, man.

Concerning the Plot of Canon Bleach VS. S2S

--We currently do not have an on-running plot. One began on the previous site, and there will be another post about one if we so create one.

--The plot of Bleach is generally irrelevent. Think of it as some things happened, others didn't. For example, Soul society is aware of Ichigo and friends invading Soul Society, but Aizen is not dead. Choose your allusions wisely.

A General concern of SCARAB

As Folia says, this is Mulan's creation, and should be treated as such. Question her or Folia for details. She has her own expectations of what should be going on with such characters.

Sorry it's bordering TL;DR material. Just posting to clear up a few things that may not be explained well enough in the rules or templates.

Concerning Bounts:
Take it with a grain of salt, for my source is the Bleach wiki page.

"Bounts are living beings similar to the Quincy, the difference being they have a special component that is encompassed by a Human soul. Bounts have the unique ability to absorb Human souls, making them their own. It is as a result of this ability, that have named Bounts at various times in Human history as "vampires". As the accidental creations of a Shinigami scientist, they were once affiliated with Soul Society. Currently the Bounts in general are only a small tribe of beings from what they once were. Due to their circumstance they are neither affiliated with Soul Society nor the living world, they are pariahs, accepted in neither dimension.

The Bounts were created by Ran'Tao as the accidental result of an explosion during an experiment by the predecessor to the Shinigami Research and Development Institute. The experiment was an attempt to develop eternal life using the already slow-aging Shinigami souls as the base, but the materials used in the experiment crossed with the development of souls in the real world and led to the creation of a new spiritually-active Human race, the Bounts."

Concerning Vizoreds (we'll probably say Vizard)!
Same source (Bleach wiki)

"The Visored are the antithesis to the Arrancar as Shinigami who have obtained Hollow powers.[1]
Having begun as Shinigami, the Visored appear entirely Human and bar those times where they are using their powers are indistinguishable from ordinary Shinigami. To gain access to their Hollow powers, a Visored dons a Hollow mask. This allows them to augment their Shinigami abilities with Hollow powers, as well as giving them access to some of the more generic Hollow abilities. Their spiritual pressure likewise changes into a mix of Hollow and Shinigami. This process of donning one's Hollow mask is referred to as Hollowfication.[2]

Visored have been shown to be former captain and lieutenant Shinigami. They are considered criminals by the Soul Society for committing the ultimate taboo of acquiring Hollow powers; their status as former leaders of Soul Society also marks them as traitors.[3]"

Other:

Also, another link that may be handy is here! This lays out the hierarchy of Soul Society, from lowly foot soldiers to royalty. :3

To be more specific about the jobs of each Division of the Court Guard Squads, I'll just lay out key words of each division. :)
1st: Diplomacy
2nd: Ninja
4th: Healing
6th: Nobles
11th: Fighting
12th: Science

P.S. Former Espada are Privaron Espada. :3
