Dear Spartan Domionion, I think most of us have given up on this you. If one lookes at the activity stats it looks like a parabola graph. It went up, then down.. It hasn't gone up in over a year. I think you are pretty much dead. Your memory will have a special place in my heart for the rest of my life, but let's just admit it, many of us have moved on with life, we once were young gamers, but we have grown up, moved on, got busy with "real life" it's sad, but ultimately true. If we could have a funeral for you, I would fly down to attend (I actually thought it would be really cool if we all got together for one time, we all made it down to one place somehow or another, sometime...). I have many good memories (laugh if you want) of you, I wish you didn't die, but... *sobs...* Anyways, you were awesome, but I really can't see any of us reviving it. Sorry Spartan Dominion... Love, Shmithers I'll still be around in the next few months... but I almost want to die every time I go to SD it is so sad looking at the state of affairs here... |

We need to have a major revamp. I think we should make it look new and sleek, to fix this stupid Zeta Boards update. Then spam an email to all board members and let them know. We could also Advertise profusely and try to get everyone active again. How about it? |

As much as I hate to admit it, you are right Shmithers. I really miss all the fun times all of us had here. A revival would be nice... but I just don't see us climbing out of a hole this deep. |

Sad to see it go out like this...I never really become an active poster in any forums until recently, I would've loved to have been active in this community though.. It actually depresses me to think of it, because this was the first forum I had ever been on way back in 2004 when I was 11, playing x-box live with a squeaky voice and there were some pretty cool people here that were fun to play with. R.I.P. SD 2004-2008

It is a sad thing, and I wish this forum was still going. Like Halofan, this was also the first forum I've ever been on, and I learned a lot here.  I'm actually still an avid forum goer and gamer...just not here and not on Halo. This was pretty much my first forum place aswell. I now talk on NeoGAF and play Halo 3 still, but school has pretty much encapsulated most of my recent time. I miss the days of coming home and opening SD and talking to everyone here. It was so much fun. |

For some reason I feel inclined to keep checking back here. As if something magical will happen.  Hm...I wonder if there's a way for a mod to mass email everyone.  EDIT: Anyone else notice how close we were to 50,000 posts?

lol we all need to get back to gaming lol. Ive been lazy i disconnected my 360 to bring it to my firends house for a halo party, and never hooked it back up, its been like 8 months LOL. |

Shmithers does introduce a valid point. And for the record, I feel fully responsible for the decline in activity on this site - I'm in university now, and I barely have enough time to get all my studying done, let alone administrate a forum. Without news updates, new skins, and new ideas, it's natural for people to get bored. With the number of replies to this topic, though, I definitely don't think the site's dead. Struggling, perhaps, but not beyond repair. I haven't forgotten you all, and I can promise that I'll do my best to revamp the site the moment I get some spare time, hopefully before May. As always, I'm completely open to suggestions from members. The staff email account (spartandominion@gmail.com) is still active, and if you send us an email you'll get a reply within a day or two. I honestly want to see things pick up again, because we have a really great community here. Thoughts? |
