So, what do people think of it? have you been able to get into the beta? Any thoughts on patches? card ideas, strategies? What's your favorite class? Pretty much any hearthstone related tomfoolery goes here. |

I enjoy it every once in a while. I don't agree with some of the patch that is going to hit soon, since blood imp is being nerfed pretty hard, and it will probably kill my lock rush deck. My favorite type of deck is a spellpower paladin deck I rolled up a while ago. So many people underestimate avenging wrath. It's just silly to watch someone take 8+ damage to the face. Plus hammer of wrath, azure drake, concecrate, etc. give you so much card advantage it's pretty rediculous. My two most hated classes in the game are priest and mage hands down. I just have 0 interaction against them most games. Edited by Burnarator, Jan 14 2014, 07:54 PM.

Stopping bullshit Warlock rush decks is the main reason the Blood Imp is being nerfed. Being able to play 1 cost minions and have them immediately be buffed to at least a 1/3 by turn 2? With no way to clear unless you're lucky enough to pull an AoE? Yeah, it needed to be nerfed, and hard. Besides, it's not like the Blood Imp isn't still viable, it's just viable for different things. Hearthstone is fun, as CCGs go. It suffers from a problem innate to those games in that being good at the game is about 60% of it. The rest is down to draws. It's hugely frustrating when you know you're better than someone and they still end up winning. Like the Mage I played against who threw away the early game by trying to rush me down, then eventually drew double Pyroblast. Ugh. All of my irritation. Currently though, Mage is amazing. The sheer amount of control you can exercise on a game is so so nice. Plus it has a good balance of direct damage, decent enough creatures and a solid amount of draw. Plus Fireblast is stupidly useful. |

well.... more like gettting my flame imp up to a 3/3, but still. Most decks I go against with that lock rush deck currently just win due to taunt. or control. I usually lose 7/10 games I play with it, but It's probably just a terrible deck in general. It's just there to get my "cast 40 minions that cost 2 or less" daily done... ![]()

The problem with Blood imp is that it was a big counter to the board wipe, which is supposed to be the counter to the aggro play in the first place. My main deck is warlock control, pretty enjoyable though nowhere being a top tier deck, especially since I don't have many legendaries but I think I'll have a better time once the mage is nerfed (horrible matchup even when you're not life taping at all). I also enjoy the warrior class a lot, but again I'm not playing any of the winning strat with him. I like the shaman cards but god the randomness of the hero power is really annoying. A fun game and well polished if it wasn't for the bugs. Would be even funnier against not random people so if you want to play sometime, my tag is Skidda#2700. |

Fair point. I don't really play HS much anymore, but I'm usually on WoW or SC2. In case anyone wants to play some, my battletag is: Burnarator#1820. Just let me know and I can jump on for a few games. |

At the moment, my main constructed is a spell power rogue deck that focuses on early control and whittling the enemy down and then pushing through with cold blood, mana addict, and damaging spells. It works alright in metal / bronze league. I think the main shine of HS is arena. that's where it really tests your skill since decks are made f random cards rather than what people can build from their collection; so you can't really say you lost from bad cards, you just drafted poorly (though there are some drafts. ugh. ) My favorite class though has to be warlock. I like rush down and plus, my first legendary was Jaraxxus. :3 INFERNO! |

So I'm doing an arena draft... and I got 2 deathwings... yup. I shouldn't have taken the second one (the first was up against Onyxia or Harrison Jones.) but the second one was my last card and it was another deathwing, baron geddon, or Cairne Bloodhoof.) but if you ever have the chance to play 2 deathwings, I think there's an unspoken rule that says you have to take 2 deathwings. |
