You know the drill, post who you think would win and why. Also I'm thinking of posting these on YT just to see what others think. |

What time period? What distance between the two? Do they take each other seriously from the start? Are they in-character (Zoro never uses his big moves in the beginning)? |

I knew I forgot something thanks for reminding me. Kenshin power is where it was when the manga and anime ended and zoro is after the 2 year training period. |

Ooooh, one of my favorite characters of all time, Kenshin Himura. Lets see... Between the two, I believe that Kenshin would be the victor between himself and Zoro. While Zoro did indeed become much more skilled and powerful after the two-year time skip and his training under Mihawk, Kenshin himself has had wonderful training under his master Hiko Seijūrō XIII, so they've both had wonderful training and there's no question to that. I think Kenshin however has the advantage over Zoro in speed, being able to use the Hiten Mitsurugi-ryū style's "Godspeed" to move at almost superhuman levels that routinely outpaces the human eye. Kenshin is also known for being able to read his opponents moves and how they would attack based on their eyes, and even their emotions (If I remember that correctly and why he had so much trouble against Seta Sōjirō) and since Zoro isn't exactly known for keeping his cool in fights, this would allow Kenshin to easily predict and avoid his attacks, even with his strange 3 sword style. The last reason I can think of off the top of my head that Kenshin would win is simply due to his Battōjutsu style that he uses, with the rapid drawing and sheathing of his sword. Or to put it better: "In most cases, a katana being drawn from its sheath moves with a much greater speed and force than when it is being wielded normally. Additionally, greater drawing speed gives a swordsman more of an advantage in combat than an opponent whose speed is inferior. This is due in part to the fact that a katana's sharp blade curves upward against the inside of the sheath, allowing the swordsman to use more strength in drawing it without having to worry about applying extra control to his movements - the sword's path is guided by the sheath while the blade meets no resistance, moving two to three times faster than normal. " So all together, Kenshin's combination of speed, being able to read his opponent and his style of Battōjutsu put him above Zoro in combat, even if he used his sakabato instead of a regular sword. |

Well Kaio seems to understand but for everyone else this is a battle to the death in a sense even if the character isn't known to kill. |

I agree with Kaio's assessment, but I still need the distance. If they are close to each other, Kenshin blitzes Zoro. If they are far apart, Zoro can use Busoshoku Haki (Armament) to protect himself from Kenshin's attacks - since this protects people from almost all physical attacks. If this is the case, and Zoro is allowed to activate his haki, I can see him outlasting Kenshin because of his ungodly stamina - he was able to withstand Luffy's pain and fatigue in addition to his own after his battle with Kuma. I can also see Zoro evading Kenshin's attacks since pretimeskip Zoro was able to avoid Kuma's paws - which travel at the speed of light. Zoro's speed would have increased immensely after the timeskip. I think this will give Zoro the edge as the battle goes on if Kenshin is not close enough to blitz him. |

you guys need to think about their usual fighting styles and if they can figure out how to avoid and counter the other one. I'm just the guy who puts the two in a deathfight. |
