We had four coaching applications to go though. The builds are below. Rugrats Dimensionsatire Greetings assorted admins, mods and staff. This is my official audition for coach of the Rugrats for Season 6 and beyond. May the best applicant win. Trying to counter the proposed team is going to be a severe challenge as there are many variations that could be sent out. What I try to do is make the best opposing team I could and try to counter it so anything less than their best we should be able to deal with- that being said, the way I would build the opposing team is probably a far cry from what would actually be sent against us. Tambourine, Majuub and Chiaotzu could all be sent out as starters given their tendencies and performances in the past. Tambourine is a solid all-around fighter usually on a defensive or survivable build, Majuub is a super-aggressive spammer and Chiaotzu is a wild card but he tends to be melee and combo-based- especially if he has Power Body. I'm not sure we have a single fighter who can counter all these fighting styles so to determine who I expect first I'll look at the other places they can go. Tambourine and Majuub can easily go almost anywhere else in the lineup as they are pretty consistent- Majuub could make use of Savior and Tambourine could be a solid staller especially for tags. Of the opposing team, Tambourine and Pilaf have the most tags last season (11 and 9 respectively) whereas Chiaotzu only has two. For this reason I'm expecting the opposing team to put out Tambourine first and take a slight hit with Chiaotzu elsewhere. I fully expect Teen Gohan or Majuub second, most likely they'll be the two fighters with Savior as they consistently throw their ultimates. Both will be massive threats, and if we can strong-arm them we'll have a better chance in the late-game. Whoever isn't second will likely be last so they have a strong closer. Teen Gohan has more tags, so I think it's more likely he'll be out second with a super damage (nuke) build, maybe with a bit of well-roundedness to be on the safe side. Third will likely be Chiaotzu or Pilaf, but Pilaf also has the option to come out last and give Majuub a chance to tag out, which would be an intelligent move especially if he has Savior so we must plan accordingly. Chiaotzu may be Earth Defender's problem child (and because of this I wouldn't expect him to be last), but he still can't be underestimated as he's pulled out scary performances before. Pilaf and Chiaotzu I would say are the best candidates for Power Body- Pilaf acts like an android and doesn't need to charge so he can be constantly in-your-face and punish any weakened members and Chiaotzu uses it to be more aggressive which is why I expect them a little latter in the game (Unless Chiaotzu is first, which I've planned for as well) Based on this information the line-up I'm expecting to face would be as follows Tambourine, Teen Gohan, Chiaotzu, Majuub, Pilaf or Chiaotzu, Teen Gohan, Tambourine, Pilaf, Majuub Worst case scenario (Using Week 1 info) is Majuub, Teen Gohan, Tambourine, Chiaotzu, Pilaf I will try to counter all these builds while not just sitting on information gained before to be unpredictable and unique. A logical start would be what the Rugrats have been doing since the pre-season which is Cell Jr. Power Body starter. This is a very solid opening move- can mitigate Tambourine, outfight Chiaotzu (even with Power Body) but the problem is that Majuub spam would destroy Cell Jr. and nullify an early advantage which we will desperately need. That being said, Power Body is not the problem- aggression is the problem so I'd actually start out with another solid Rugrats opener in Kid Trunks (Base) on Power Body. He's aggressive enough to fight evenly with Majuub and should easily be able to strong-arm Tambourine and Chaiotzu with or without Power Body. Not to mention Kid Trunks has a tendency to tag (tied first with 4 tags, but could also be 'low' because of Gotenks) Following that, since I expect Teen Gohan second, we need to counter with out own nuke- SSJ1 Goten. I'm still not taking any chances, so I will attempt to nuke the opponent's monster with a Bros. ultimate. It's a hard call to go for more charge or for clash, but this time I'd opt for more volume of B2s than the situational clash advantage. The only downside is that Goten doesn't have the tag stats, but that could easily be due to Gotenks last season. Gotenks is a strong fighter, but I don't plan to use him this match because I believe we need the variety more than we need a suped-up fighter. Third I will place Chi-Chi. I expect her to face Chiaotzu or Tambourine here and I'm hoping Chi-Chi on a spam build will out-damage a defensive (or super build as he was lately) Tambourine and at least fight evenly with aggressive Chiaotzu, especially if he has Power Body. Sadly Chi-chi doesn't have the tags or the solid performance behind her, but she has been sent out last a lot and that is NOT something I want. Worst thing to do is to have a strong lead be blown because the last person couldn't close the match. Next will be GT Goku. He's a tough nut to crack. He had the most connections with B2s last season. It's hard to balance so many B2 characters but I gave him a build I've used on the Saiyans which accentuates his strengths without giving him weaknesses, plus Eternal Life helps him survive and launch more B2s. GT Goku being locked into SSJ1 form is a solid idea because of Finally I'll have Cell Jr. Not usually what's seen from Rugrats, I know, which is good because of the unpredictability. Also, Cell Jr. is tied with Kid Trunks and GT Goku for highest tags so if someone else tags, Cell. Jr might as well. Since Power Body is on Kid Trunks, I'll give Cell Jr. his super defense build to wall out Pilaf or Majuub. I put before I didn't like Cell Jr. to face Majuub because of aggression, but IF they were to fight (assuming no tags on either side) then the best way to face a spammer is by full defense, taking advantage of Majuub's -14% super damage by combining it with +15% damage reduction which increases to +22.5% damage reduction on the last bar. I also would rather GT Goku not fight Majuub for the same reason- aggression, and since GT Goku doesn't have a defense build I'd rather not have GT close just like Chi-Chi. If we do have the tag advantage, Cell Jr.'s defense should handle everyone else (Outlast Tambourine, mitigate Teen Gohan's SSJ1 melee, and outfight Chiaotzu and Pilaf) so he'd be a nice clean-up crew regardless. Builds Transformations: OFF Kid Trunks (Base) (Trunks AI) Power Body (4) Attack +1 (1) Power of Rage (2) Goten (SSJ1) (Tien AI) Savior (1) Super +1 (1) Launch's Support (2) Fighting Spirit (1) Dende's Healing (2) Chi-Chi (Chiaotzu AI) Ki +2, Super -1 (1) Fighting Spirit (1) Launch's Support (2) Indignation (1) Kibito's Secret Art (2) GT Goku (SSJ1) (Gohan AI) Eternal Life (4) Ki +1 (1) Fighting Spirit (1) Indignation (1) Cell Jr. (Frieza AI) Defense +3, Attack -1 (2) Latent Energy (1) Dende's Healing (2) Power of Rage (2) Since I don't know the best AIs yet, I'm trusting what the Rugrats have used because they've been solid before. Thank you very much for your time, may the best application win. Toshiro Toshiro’s Coach Team Rugrats Application Transformation: On Cell Jr. Frieza AI Eternal Life (4) Attack +2 Defense-1(1) Indignation!(1) Serious!(1) Goten(SSJ)/Trunks(Base) Vegeta/ Broly Ki +1/ Attack +1(1) Launch Support(2) Quick Fast Attack(1) Latent Energy(1) Dende's Healing(2) GT Goku(SSJ) Ginyu AI Super +2 Ki -1(1) Launch Support(2) Savior(1) Quick Charge(1) Fighting Spirit(1) Active Heart(1) For Cell Jr. I chose this build for him because he is a great starter and he has great melee so with the attack +2 it will help especially since he will be in the opponent’s face the whole time. Eternal life will allow him to stay in for a while and while he starts to lose health his B2’s and Attack gets stronger so he get more buffs. Goten and Trunks I would want them to fuse in order keep him in and do great damage. Ki+1 and Atk+1 will do great for when they fuse but separately gotten usually focuses more on his B2s while trunks is mainly melee so this is what I was going for and Launch support will allow them to charge faster in order to follow up with combos or B2s. Dende’s Healing is something to keep them in as long as possible despite the slow rate it goes but any little bit will help. Also with Latent Energy as the health goes down and the defense increases it will help even more with keeping both of them in the game. Last for GT Goku the active heart will allow him to get more ki back after he ping pongs them and fighting spirit will allow him to use B2s and more in the very beginning so it can allow him to have a advantage at the start. Savior will allow him to launch a Ultimate if he does so but when he starts a melee combo it makes a endless combo and he can add a free B2 if he allows it. He could also charge his B2s faster with quick charge which means he can quick fire it. Finally Launch Support will allow him to get his ki back to do B2s and melee combos. Here ya go and thanks for taking my application Androids malachi Lineup of opposing Team Majuub Tambourine Chiaotzu Teen Gohan Pilaf Reasoning -- Majuub -- of those listed, Majuub and Tambourine have been the best starters. And as Majuub became a very strong all around character at the end of season 5, I think that he would be the best to go first, as he is not as reliant on his B2s as he used to be (in case Gero started) and could continue attacking even if he got grabbed. As such, I would expect that his build would be a general offensive build, with bonuses to charge and melee (and possibly indignation for supers). Tambourine -- Tambourine was almost always in the first half of the lineup in season 5, and so I expect nothing different here. In terms of builds, I tend to expect a general melee build (possibly more defensive than offensive), as Majuub is a spammer, and Chiaotzu and Pilaf were given a lot of charge/super bonuses in their builds. As a super saiyan, Gohan can do just about whatever he wants. Chiaotzu -- in Season 5, Chiaotzu opened 5 times (out of 12 season matches, and did not open in the play offs) and was only a closer once. So I expect him to be in the first half, or the 3rd person at the latest. In terms of the build, Chiaotzu generally had a Ki + with various potaras to support that (either paired with super + to make him a strong B2 spammer, or as a way to power melee combos). In the context of this team, I expect Chiaotzu to have a charge bonus to power melee combos, as Gohan would probably have the B2 spam build. Teen Gohan -- In the past (when Gohan was SS2), he was an ultimate spammer. While he might not be an ultimate spammer now that he's been downgraded to SS1, I do expect him to have a B2 build, as Majuub is a spammer, Tambourine is known to do well on a melee build, and Chiaotzu and Pilaf are both charge builds. In the context of this team, I would expect Gohan charge build would be geared to power his B2s. In terms of lineup position, Teen Gohan was usually placed later in the lineup to take advantage of savior potential. Pilaf -- based on his sseason 5 lineup stats, Pilaf was just not used as a starter, with 7 of his matches having him placed in the latter half of the match. Based on that, I expect him to be in the latter half, if not last. In terms of his builds last season, Pilaf tended to be a B2 build, with an emphasis on having more damaging b2s, though he usually also had some charge bonuses too (in the form of High tension). Fun thing about charge potaras -- you could theoretically give each person on this team a different charge bonus, and still have more options to choose from. Builds for the Androids: Cell Frieza AI 2 - Launchs' Support 2 - Dende's Healing 1 - Broly's ring 1 - Super +1 1 - indignation Reasoning -- Majuub is generally an offensive build geared around spamming, though he's started to have melee potaras as well. In order to counter this, there are two ways to go. First is Gero, who can suck up said B2s (though not Chocolate Beam) and take away his energy. The second way to go is with another character who is strong all around, such as Cell or 17. I chose Cell because in perfect form, his B2s are better than 17s (well, they both have one really awesome B2, but Cell's tracks better), and that I think Majuub's spammage will be well countered by Cell's own ability to spam. Cell already has a good charge rate (better than Majuub's I think, but I'm not sure), so augmenting that charge rate will allow him to throw really powerful supers (near 10k, and defintely 10k by the last bar of health). 17 Trunks AI 2 - Tension Up 1 - Savior 4 - power body Reasoning -- 17 has really good melee, and by giving him power body, I'm expecting that he'll be able to find the balance of being a good B2 and melee player. In season 5, Tambourine had a really good defensive melee build, but 17's power body should allow him to power through the melee, while still charging via Tension Up. If one of Season 6's builds come out, where Tambourine has a more offense oriented build, the same thought still applies. And as 17 can charge while attacking, he'll be able to throw out B2s in between melee combos. Gero Ginyu AI 2 - Kibito's secret art 1 - Attack +1 1 - light body 1 - latent energy 1 - Unleash ki 1 - Quick Fast attck Reasoning -- Gero has proven himself to be a really good tank, but as I expect my opponents to know this, I'm moving away from that to a build that's a direct melee build, rahter than a defensive melee build. The Kibito's Secret Art will charge up his B1s so that by the time he comes out, he can start with the "False Courage" b1s that he likes to throw out, and the melee bonuses should allow him to keep up the attack. The drawback to pairing him against Chiaotzu is that he can't suck up Chiaotzu's B2s. But with a good melee game going, Gero should be able to counter that melee and dish out a bit of damage, while the latent energy slows the damage taken a bit. 8 Trunks AI 2 - Dende's healing 2 - Defense +2 1 - Latent Energy 1 - Serious 1 - Savior Reasoning -- Putting 8 on a defensive melee build for two reasons -- 1. I fear the Super Masenko spammage. 2. He's done really well on melee builds that allow him to take damage while still dishing out damage. Against Gohan, who will likely be a B2 spammer, I think 8 stands a chance of being able to stay in Gohan's face and keep him from charging. Bringing in Savior allows 8 to immediately begin working on melee combos (or even the ever elusive "You hurt Goku" ultimate) that if Gohan allows 8 a chance to breathe it could go very badly for Gohan. The defense +2 and latent energy is so that 8 will last just a bit longer against Gohan, allowing that serious to help him deal out just a bit more damage. 16 Piccolo Ai 4 - Eternal Life 1 - Fighting Spirit 1 - Master Throw 1 - Serious! As a melee fighter going against Pilaf, I expect that 16's melee would help him be able to distract Pilaf from charging. Master throw is because I love 16's throws, which by default does around 3000 damage (which means that 16's throws could potentially do around 7k damage per throw if they connect). Since Pilaf frequently had high tension last season, Eternal life comes into play because 16s aggression alone would not keep Pilaf from charging, so 16 can still take Pilafs B2s (granted they're damaging, especially the rolling attack) and still keep going. The fighting spirit is so that if Pilaf transforms, 16 still has tricks up his sleeve, as the small charge boost should help him throw out an extra Hell's Impact or two, which should easily hit the moving mountain that is transformed Pilaf. Cold Ascension Blue's Potara: [1] Attack +1 [1] Attack +2/Defense -1 [1] Ki +1 [1] Super +1 [1] Super +2/Power -1 Yellow's Potara: [1] Eternal Life [2] Fighting Spirit! [1] High Tension [2] Indignation! [2] Kibito's Secret Art [2] Launch's Support [1] Light Body [1] Power of Rage [2] Quick Fast Attack [2] Quick Return [1] Rising Fighting Spirit [2] Savior [2] Serious! Frist Match Up: Majuub VS Cooler (Final Form) [Frieza AI] - B2er [1] Ki +1 [1] Rising Fighting Spirit [1] Fighting Spirit! [1] Indignation! [1] Quick Return [2] Power of Rage Overview : Majuub is a well balanced character with Ki Spamming aspects. So Knowing this, my plain is putting Cooler's on a B2 build so he can use hes Death Beam with it's fast start up to beat out Majuub's B2's or Ultimate's. When the game starting i gave Cooler Rising Fighting Spirit so he charge fast to get to max power or use on hes B2's. For damage potara i gave him just Indignation to help increase hes damage when he loses bars and Ki +1 to help him charge to use hes B2's. For hes melee i wanted to give him Quick Return so if he gets guard broken he can recover faster because it seems to always happen when you get gaurd broken you eat a B2 with Power of Rage to help him win clashes. Second Match Up: Chiaotzu VS Meta-Cooler [Tien AI] - Melee [1] Attack +2/Defense -1 [3] High Tension [1] Quick Fast Attack [1] Light Body [1] Serious! Overview : With Chiaotzu i saw a few different builds looking back in season 5 but i see mostly him use the Super +1 build. After i saw that I decided to use Quick Fast Attack and Serious! to help boost hes melee from Attack +2 with High Tension so he can keep pressure by passively gaining Ki and use Light body so he does not get stunned rush blats. Chioutzu build are mostly balanced character of Melee and Blasts. My I choose to use Tien AI so it hopefully makes him get close to encourages melee with a chance of using hes ultimate so it does not allow Chiaotzu to charge or stop King Cold to use hes melee combos. Third Match Up: Teen Gohan VS King Cold [Broly AI] - Melee/EL [1] Attack +1 [4] Eternal Life [1] Quick Fast Attack [1] Serious! Overview : I'm going to use the current season with Teen Gohan in SSJ then using Teen Goahan B2 build back in season 5, my theory is to use Broly AI so it hopefully Cold will get into melee range with Eternal Life so it put's pressure on Teen Gohan. I wanted to boost hes melee damage so i gave him Quick Fast Attack and Serious! to help boost hes melee with Attack +1 with Eternal Life to keep hes health to regen just in cause if he gets hit by B2 or get's melee. Forth Match Up: Tambourine VS Freiza (Final Form) [Yajirobe AI] - B2er [1] Super +2/Power -1 [1] Savior [2] Kibito's Secret Art [1] Indignation! [2] Launch's Support Overview : I seen how good Tambourine is over the seasons with Eternal Life how long he can stay in do hes very strong melee damage so i decided to match Freiza versus him with hes good B2's and usage of using Ultimate's. I put in Savior so he comes in with pull power to hopefully use hes ultimate with Kibito's Secret Art so he can go back into full power for a lot of burst damage. I wanted to gave him Launch's Support for the extra Ki +1 so it can offset the Power -1 from the potara with Indignation! so when he takes damage then that boosts him even more. Fifth Match Up: Pilaf VS Mecha-Freiza [Yajirobe AI] - B2er [1] Super +1 [2] Kibito's Secret Art [1] Savior [1] Fighting Spirit! [2] Launch's Support Overview : Pilaf i feel is strong character with hes melee and rock throw, he reminds me of a mini Arale and hes transformation gives him a good brick wall so i didn't want to put a melee character vs him. My plain vs Pilaf was just use Mecha-Freiza B2's to zone him and kill him with the damage. I gave Savior on Mecha-Freiza to let him come in with full power to do the max damage he can with ether Ultimate or hes blasts with Super +1 and Kibito's Secret Art to give him good burst damage. Hes main part of the build i gave him Launch's Support for the extra Ki +1 with Fighting Spirit! so when he takes damage he can charge faster. Harume Hikari-Seki Match up Strategy: King Cold vs. Tabourine (tank/melee vs. melee) Mecha Frieza vs. Majuub (spam vs. spam) Meta Cooler vs. Teen Gohan (melee vs. melee) Cooler vs. Chiaotzu (charge vs. melee) Frieza vs. Pilaf (melee vs. melee) Line up and Builds: King Cold Gohan AI Defense + 2 (2) Serious (1) Eternal Life (4) My reasoning for this build is because King Cold's melee seems to be extraordinary in the sense that it is powerful due to the fact that King Cold tends to stay in his opponent's face more often than not. With this build, I feel like the tanky, melee character that King Cold is would be a decent to perfect opponent for Tabourine's either tanky build, chargy build or super build. I also put King Cold first, hoping to go against Tabourine because, honestly, we have all seen how great/devastating of a starter Tabourine can be. Meta Cooler Broly AI Attack + 1 (1) Latent Energy! (1) Light Body (1) Quick Fast Attack (1) Unleash Ki (1) Dende's healing (2) My reasoning for this build is that Teen Gohan would be a potential second in line if this was an actual team, because most people would expect Teen Gohan to come out with Savior and do his all time favorite move; Kamehameha. With this build, I would hope that Meta Cooler manages to at least stay in long enough to get Teen Gohan down a considerable amount of health. With Latent Energy, his defense would increase as his health decreased, which would potentially allow him to stay in the battle longer, making him stay in Teen Gohan's face and making him unable to charge, use B1s, his ultimate or B2s. Final Form Cooler Tien AI Ki up 1 (1) Launch's support (2) Savior (1) Indignation (1) Power of Rage (2) Honestly, my reasoning for this build is that Cooler had this build for the preseason week 2, and it did amazingly well. I would be more than willing to trust this build again. My reasoning for placing him third, is because, potentially, if there are two mediocre fighters on their team, they are bound to put them in the middle, and not trust them to be their finisher to clean things who is left, they would leave that to one of their more powerful players; Majuub in this case. Final Form Frieza Default AI Attack + 2, Defense - 1 (1) Serious (1) Dragon Power (3) Launch's Support (2) My reasoning for this build is that since Pilaf is usually an in your face kind of character, Frieza would be more easily able to counter him, especially in clashes. With Launch's Support, it would also aid in more quickly recovering their Health and Ki while on standby. Also, the fact remains that Pilaf be more in the middle rather than a finisher character, hence Frieza's placement being here. Also, even if the opposing team puts Pilaf before Chiaotzu, Cooler and Frieza would still be able to take care of them. With this in mind, Majuub must be going last. Mecha Frieza Tien AI Super Up 2, Ki Power - 1 (1) Savoir (1) Indignation (1) Hatred of Saiyans (1) Secret Measures (3) My reasoning for this build is that, against Majuub, spam vs. spam. With this build, Mecha Frieza would potentially be able to use his ultimate as soon as he comes in, and only be able to continue to do damage with his charge rate and his power behind his B2s. I believe Majuub would be going last because he seems to potentially be the best finisher for this makeshift team. With that in mind, and the fact that Tabourine would most likely start, followed by Teen Gohan, as well as the fact that you cannot really put your weakest links last in the lineup because you can't truly trust them to be able to finish up what the others could not, thus making Majuub go last. That is why I had chosen this lineup for against this particular team. I hope you all approve of my builds and reasons, and I greatly appreciate you, the staff, taking the time to look at and evaluate my application. Thank you greatly, ~Harume Hikari-Seki~ FraserTazer Application Meta-Cooler Vs Majuub I have chosen Meta Cooler to go against majuub due to Past Data showing he is consistent and reliable as a tank. Meta Cooler also does not need to charge, thus he will be in Majuub's face for longer periods of time, and will stop Majuub from spamming his B2s as often. This will enable Meta Cooler to effectively counter Majuub's Spam and Damage Capabilities. Meta-Cooler - Frieza AI Defense up 3 attack down -1 Dende's Healing Light body Serious Quick Fast Attack Defense up 3 because Meta can hold his own against people but he cannot stay in long enough, so this will help him as a result, alongside his rebirth b1 if he manages to pull it off will be a detriment to the other team, which is also where light body comes in. Majority of characters will attempt to use rush blasts to interrupt a b1 so light body will make sure that if he does do rebirth he won't be stunned as a result. Dende's healing with a tanky build can make his endurance even stronger and be more of an immovable object for the enemy if they are not prepared. Serious and QFA for melee improvement. Meta-cooler is an android which means they charge automatically so giving him some melee will help utilize this effect and Meta's b2s are not good b2s i'm sorry to say. Finger blitz is ok when its able to stun someone going back to launch a b2 or when attempting to dragon rush behind them. His lock on buster is worth 4 bars for 7500 damage which is not good at all so having boosts to melee would be more beneficial to Meta as a result of this. Frieza final form Vs Chiaotzu I chose Frieza to go up against Chiaotzu due to Chiaotzu being very melee based. Unlike Meta-Cooler, Chiaotzu has to manually charge; and he is not usually on a tank build, but on a more offensive build. Also, previous data has shown that Frieza has good survivability and will consistently use B2s. With these variables coming into play, I believe Frieza's B2s should counter chiaotzu's melee. Frieza final form - yajirobe AI super up 2 power down -1 fighting spirit Kibito's secret art Indignation Launch's support I want to use this build because he still has a 2 bar B2 that's worth about 7100 damage. With the Super up +2 that'll increase it quite a bit along with his other b2. Kibito's Secret Art is for his Full Power B1. With Yajirobe AI's consistent use of Max Power B1s instead of his Stat Boosting B1, he will get to Max Power quite easily and it only will take a very short while to get his Max B1 off, which means more chances of launching ultimates. I want Launch's Support and Fighting Spirit because he likes using B2s and charging, and it will synchronize well with his Super Up +2. Additionally, Final Form Freiza's charge rate is arguably the best in Team Cold. Cooler Vs Teen Gohan I opted for Cooler to go up against Teen Gohan because Cooler has been proven, by previous data, to be a good rounded character. Meaning he is good at both Melee AND B2s, but not great at them. I believe Teen Gohan will be the Opposing Team's most well rounded character; so I hope that our most well rounded character can stand toe to toe with him. Cooler - Tien AI Ki up 1 launch's support savior power of rage Quick fast attack I chose this build, simply because, while Cooler is arguably one of the better Transformations in the game, his charge rate suffers a bit. Ki +1 and Launch's support will increase his damage output by fixing this problem. I chose Tien AI for his usage of B2s/Ultimates. Chose Power of Rage due to his Death Chaser B2 getting him into clashes, and how I believe he has a natural better chance to win in clashes in general. Chose Quick Fast Attack to make sure that his melee game is up to snuff. And Savior because, with Tien AI, he has a better chance of throwing out an Ultimate. Mecha-Frieza Vs Tambourine I hope mecha Frieza will use his Ultimates and B1s to take out Tambourine as fast as possible. I say this as I do not have a strong counter for Tambourine on Team Cold, and the weaker counters I have for Tambourine will already be fighting the other members of this opposing team. Mecha-Frieza - Yajirobe AI Kibito's secret art Savior Super up 1 Launch's support light body Kibito's Secret Art because of his Max Power B1 which he likes doing on this AI, which means more chances of an Ultimate happening. Super Up 1 because Super Up 2 I believe is better spent on Frieza, due to Frieza having more damaging B2s. However, Super Up 1 is fine for Mecha due to his Charge Rate being on par with Final Form Frieza. It also gives his B2s a little more damage, which he is lacking. Fissure Slash can do 6500 damage, and death beam does 7000. Savior because Mecha is more consistent about throwing out ultimates on this AI and following up. Launch's Support because after he does a Full Power B1 he has a negative to charge, thus Launch's Support will help him with dealing with that negative. Light Body because his use of Max Power B1s will leave him open and I believe his Max Power B1 is slightly longer than Final Form Frieza's B1. King Cold Vs Emperor Pilaf I put King Cold against Pilaf as all my other counters are being used to counter the better members of the Opposing Team. I say better as I believe Pilaf, from what I have seen, will be the WEAKEST member of their team. I also believe Pilaf will be using a lot of melee, due to being an android, so I gave King Cold Power Body to hopefully negate his melee. King Cold - Piccolo AI Attack up 2 defense down -1 Serious Fighting spirit Power Body Attack Up 2 on King Cold, I think, is the most beneficial for him because even though his Charge Rate is not the best, he does have a good Melee Game. Serious will just increase that melee damage. Fighting Spirit because his charge rate is not good at all. I didn't want to use Ki Up 2 Super Down 1 here because his B2s will suffer a little too much in my opinion. With the Super Down 1, his Full Power Death Beams will go from 7500 to 6600 and his Super Explosive Wave will go from 6800 to 5800. So I believe having Fighting Spirit will help him out more. Power Body because, due to his opponent not having a Brick Breaker Effect, means that he won't be flinched so he will have more of a chance to win the melee fight as a result. Blades AndyGM My tryout The Blades vs Majuub, Chiaotzu, Teen Gohan, Tabourine and Pilaf 1:Trunks vs Majuub Trunks' Build Broly Ai Atk +1 Serious Master Strike Power Of Rage Dende's Healing Reasoning: Trunks is built as a very aggressive character using broly ai serious and master strike he won't give majuub enough breathing room to charge and not to mention he will be getting healed in the middle of his huge combos and when he tries to break off he can easily dragon dash towards him and if a clash happens trunks is going to win 2: Tao vs Chiotzu Taos Build: Main Buy Ai Atk +2 Def-1 QFA Active Heart Eternal Life Reasoning: I'm pretty certain chiotzu is a meleer so to counter his ridiculous speed we will throw out our melee power character atk +2 and qfa his combos will do tremendous damage and in the middle of those big combos he will getting healed significantly by el and receiving ki back for teleport dodging and dragon dashing Tapion vs Teen Gohan Taps' Build: Frieza Ai Ki +2 Super -1 Launch Support Indignation Unleash Ki Master Blast Active Heart Reasoning: Teen Gohan is a B2 character therefore i n my mind the best counter is a spammer with a ridiculous charge rate and decent power he can wipe him off the map also in some situations where you will see taps throwing out rush blasts master blast will com in handy and while active heart is weird consider no matter what every character will get in a melee fight better to let him regain ki while he's doing it and unleash ki which will give him an edge in a clash as the icing on the cake for this great build JaneMBA vs Tambourine Jane's Build: Tien Ai Super +1 Launch Support Indignation Fighting Spirit Unleash Ki Saviour Reasoning: To kick things off with a bang Jane comes out and has the ability to launch his really good ultimate once you get past that tambo has to fight a character with a fast chargecrate and really powerful b2's when things get down to the wire as in one bar of health he will have ki +2.5 and Super +2.5 pretty sweet and unleash ki to help with them dragon dash and mouth blast clashes 5: Yajerobie vs Pilaf Yaj's Build Piccolo Ai Def +2 Latent Energy Serious Master Strike Dende's Healing Reasoning: Unlike my friends I'm not interested i n a possibly over powered ai I'm more interested in a melee heavy yaj due to the fact that he has a crap charge rate as for the build he has def +2 rater that +3 atk -1 so he has mor powerful melee and since he does not reli on b2's he has master strike to increase all his meele and while he's getting some big combos in he will get healed during them Conclusion: In a match you clearly won't know this much but in this situation, the only character that could have any trouble is in mycmind at least, yajerobie anyways thank you for this opportunity can't wait to see the results Dylan Wernest Order: Base Trunks GOHAN AI Spiritual control Super +1 Fighting spirit Dragon heart Majuub is usually a Melee/b2spammer build...He has high combos, likes throwing out b2s a lot, and his b2s are a volley b2, a beam b2 and his ultimate is a volley as well. One thing all these b2s/ult have in common is that they are easy to dodge. Trunks likes to "rush" dodge (that thing where u use ki to speed away) and with dragon heart for every b2 he rush dodges he'll get a blast dock. Trunks likes to use his b1s(the one where he goes to max power in Particular and then he loves to throw out his ult.) So with spiritual control his b1s will cost less and when he dodges he should get a blast dock...this should make him recover his blasts docks rather quickly(that and he still recovers naturally just slower.) With this total combination he should be able to ult spam quite well, especially since he has when he has GOHAN AI . He is also very good at running away from Melee meaning he won't get into much hand to hand combat which means he will have more b2s to dodge... Yaj Cell Ai Saviour Defence +2 Latent energy Launch support Since he's going up against chatzou who is arguably the weakest member of their team I figure I'd put one our less strong characters. Chatzou is a bit of a weird character. He can be very good at Melee and not do much with b2s or he can do the opposite. One thing I know for sure is that he likes to use his paralyze b1. These things can all be good for yaj. Since chatzou does not have a rush b2 all his b2s will take time to get to Yaj. Since yaj can't fly, he slowly moves downwards and since chatzous b2s take time to get to yaj he may be able to avoid the b2 just by standing still. Yaj is one of our weakest characters and may not be able to deal so much damage, that's why I gave him saviour so he can at least get an ult or two (if he tags) off. A good way to make him do damage is to keep him on the field that's why I gave him defence +2 (so he can survive longer.) I gave him latent energy because even if he's not a great character he has ok melee so he can do more damage. He has good b2s so I gave him launch support to help him throw those out and it will help with his Melee. Jane TIEN Power body Ki+1 Latent energy QFA Jane performs best with Tien AI. He throws a very good amount of ults/b2 and he also throws out his b2s at great times. Since he's going up against Teen GOHAN who has unbelievable Melee and ult spams I though that the best way to counter him would be to put him on a power body build so that it will take GOHAN longer to stun him. Jane has very good "reflex time" so even an extra second before getting stunned will give him enough time to jump back and b2 or go into a pong pong combo. I gave him Quick Fast Attack for that exact reason, when jane does Melee most of the time he does a sword ping pong(QFA = being able to do more damage.) He also has a fantastic charge rate, but against someone like GOHAN (a in you're face kinda guy) he will need to be even better, thats why I gave him ki+1. He can also use it for his Melee rushes. His b2s are also strong so that's a good way of getting damage out. I gave him latent energy so after 2 bars are gone he no longer will have a defence minus from Power Body. Tao TRUNKS AI Attack Plus 1 Dendes Healing Serious Master Throw Quick fast attack Fighting spirit I figure that I'd put our Melee character against the closest thing to him on the other team. last season Tamborine had great Melee and threw out b2s at the right time. I always felt that Taos Melee was better then Tams so Tao will be our full Melee guy. He has attack +1, serious, and QFA. He should be able to do a rather significant amount of damage through Melee. He uses his grabs quite often so I figured why not give him some bonuses to that. He has Dendes healing just so we can get a healing character in our team and he has fighting spirit to help his charge. His charge isn't great and that why he is in no way meant to be a b2 character. I figure that since he doesn't totally rely on his ki he will be able to just stay in Tams face so that tam won't be able to throw out many b2s. TAPION Frieza AI Ki +2 Indignation Launch support Serious Light body TAPION is going up against Pillof a generally "slow moving" melee character. So I figure that the best thing he can do is throw out his cheap b2s as much as possible. I gave him a very heavy charge build with ki+2 and launch support this will make him go to full power in a matter of seconds. Since Pillof is a melee i gave him light body so that if he gets knocked down he can "jump" back and b2. I also gave him light body because sometimes he derps and goes into melee so I figure if that happens why not be a little prepared. He has Frieza AI because it will make him be offensive with b2s. Now the reason that I put these characters in this order is not only because I matched them (I could have done that with any character on a different build) but because all of the characters are a good fall back if the preceding character doss t do as well as planned. For instance yaj can hold of Uub, jane can et take chatzou, Tao may have a little trouble taking out teen GOHAN but now that's he's on a ssj1 build he may have a better chance (I think that jane will do fine regardless and TAPION have the potential to take out both Pilof and Tamborine. Thank you for considering my application. SuperSaiyanBlade Cyborg Tao Majin Buu AI Ki+2 Super-1 Serious Quick Fast Attack Eternal Life JaneMBA Tien AI Super+2 Ki-1 Launch's Support Power Body Yajirobe Cell AI Defense +3 Attack-1 Dende's Healing Fighting Spirit Savior Light Body Base Form Trunks Trunks AI Attack +2 Defense -1 Serious Quick Fast Attack Spiritual Control Savior Tapion Frieza AI Super +1 Launch's Support Fighting Spirit Indignation Kibito's Secret Art Reasons for all my builds and match ups Cyborg Tao VS Majuub Majuub is a spammer with great melee and B2's that he can easyilly spam so to counter that i use Cyborg Tao with a build that gives him a very good charge rate to spam dodon rays, very nice melee damage and he can really stick in there thanks to eternal life he has majin buu AI because in the tests it did very good melee threw out B2's when it could and was very aggresive i think its a very nice counter for majuub JaneMBA vs Chiaotzu Chiaotzu in the pre-season was a meleer and i know for the earth defenders was for shits and giggles but i really saw potential in that build and i thats not the real build i think he will at least be on a melee build so i use JaneMBA with a power body build so when Chiaotzu is trying to destroy that power body he can charge up to do a B2 or counter with a melee combo of his own because his melee is very fast and if Chiaotzu has power body too Jane can completely destroy it. I gave him the super +2 ki-1 combo so he will have his normal charge rate that is pretty good and his B2's will do around 10K damage and ultimate around 18-20 i gave him Tien AI becuase it really liked to spam ultimates Yajirobe VS Teen Gohan Teen Gohan is basically all about big damage with his ultimate and his super kamehameha but to do all of this amazing damage he would need super +2 ki-1 so his charge rate is not the best so i use Yajirobe who is on a full B1 build the idea is while Teen Gohan is charging up Yajirobe can use his super unyielding spirit so when Gohan does an ultimate/super kamehameha Yajirobe can at least retaliate. Now for his build he has Defense +3 Attack-1 and dende's healing so he can stay very long on the field to charge up his blast stocks and spam super unyielding spirit fun facts Yajirobe's blast stocks charges a lot faster then the blast stocks of another character and while he is in max power he has a brick wall effect. I gave him savior because he already loves to do his ultimate lets give him savior for even more ultimate damage! Light body is obivous it helps him spam his B1's even more and finally fighting spirit so there is at least a chance for him to charge out of his charge penalty. I choose Cell AI because it does his ultimate, spams B1's,does great melee and just is all around amazing on Yajirobe Trunks VS Tambourine Tambourine did the best in season 5 with his super tanky build but in the pre-season he used a more spammy build but i can't belive thats even close to his main build unlike Chiaotzu because king piccolo had the exact same build in week 2 so i think he is on his tanky build. Tambourine's goal as a big tank is basically stay as long on the fiels as you can to do a lot of damage mostly through melee so i send out Trunks with the usual melee boosting potaras and savior because 9/10 times trunks uses his ultimate and his ultimate is really good because it is like Tapion's brave slash spiritual control because he has afterimage and i have seen him spam that move a lot espically if it only costs 1 blast stock and we have seen afterimage be game changing with people like Fasha so i think the 3 points are totally worth it for a melee fighter. I choose trunks AI because i have seen its power in the pre-season it did a lot of good melee and his ultimate and even though the blue potara is different trunks still did good in the test on trunks AI with Attack +2 Defense-1 so i think this is a pretty good AI for trunks Tapion VS Pilaf Pilaf has always been on a B2 build but because he is an android he always was very aggresive and had great melee and to top it all of he has a giant transformation so all rush attacks wont work on him in that form. I chose to use Tapion because his B2's only cost a few bars of energy and his natural charge rate should help if pilaf is really in his face because he can go brave cannon charge up brave cannon and can easily regain momentum against pilaf now for his build i gave him super +1 over ki +1 because i have seen AI's change drastically depending on the blue potara and super +1 basically was way more aggresive and almost threw out just as much B2's as ki +1 so more damage for free! the rest of his build is pretty normal stuff launch's support and fighting spirit to boost his charge rate indignation to do more damage with his B2's and kibito's secret art to charge up to max power without having to wait for a blast stock and maybe block/dodge some stuff with his B1's So this was my application for the blades i want to thank the staff for taking the time to read this and i wish all of you a great day I will briefly go over these: Dimensionsatire is the coach of the Rugrats. Toshiro failed to abide by the rules of the coach tryouts, the explanations for the builds were very poor. Additionally the application placed by Dimensionsatire was quite exceptional. Malachi is the coach of the Androids. Malachi was the only applicant that provided builds for the Androids, the builds and explanation are of good quality. Harume Hikari-Seki is the coach for Team Cold. Ascension's builds were lacking in detailed and clear explanation. The builds from Harume Hikari-Seki and FraserTazer were generally equal to our minds, the explanations from Harume were clear and concise, the ones from FraserTazer slightly more in depth. Dylan Wernest is the coach for the Blades. The explanations from AndyGM were severely lacking and poorly done. To our minds Dylan Wernest and SuperSaiyanBlade's applications were reasonably good and the comparison was very even, the edge ever so slightly going to Dylan Wernest. Congratulations to the four new coaches: Dimensionsatire, Malachi, Harume Hikari-Seki and Dylan Wernest. |

You're right, the idea wouldn't have come up, but I got into discussions and I got really excited about the team in general and I'm hoping my experience will allow the team to blossom. |
