I noticed a few still play this and have gotten back into it my self again recently after having been a huge fan up till the end of GX and thought we could talk about the game here and set up some friendly competition or even give advice to each other on decks.

Cool idea. I used to play competitively until 2012 and have been to quite a few tournaments. What kinda advice or whatever do you need?

End of XD...? You mean GX or 5Ds? :p

I still play on DN every so often because I'm poor and don't have a windows computer to download YGOpro. If you want to duel me on there I have no problem.

Don't frown when I lay the smackdown.

I stopped before all the synchro cards popped up mainly because I just didn't have any tournaments in my area and my city I guess you could say is more about magic the gathering and i tried it but after having played yugioh cards and the video games I couldn't get into it.

Back in the day that would probably be a fun deck to play but nowadays there are just to many better things to play that CAN be more fun and a hell of a lot more consistent. If you don't care about winning all that much and want to just play with friends its fine. If you want to get back into the game and play against some of the newest cards you probably won't stand a chance. "Top Tier" as its called only really has a couple of decks at a time that can win consistently, most of the time you can still have fun with and do good with tier 2-3 decks but I digress. That deck is perfect for "kitchen table" play (which isn't bad but a different typ of play all together) but if you are looking to make it playable against the new cards you're out of luck. If you still want suggestions for that deck for fun I can probably suggest some things to you later today or this week, as currently i don't have much spare time to brew, that could keep the spirit of what you made with some cards to make it better and more consistent.

Also if you are avoiding playing newer things as you don't understand how they work thats fine as there are still decks that are pretty fun and good that are simple to play. When I have more time again I could probably help you get back up to speed with the game if you wanted.

Just a quick suggestion since I'm in class, you really should use Dragon's mirror + Five Headed Dragon. That's a really easy 5000 Atk monster right there. I can make more suggestions later.

I have five headed dragon some where and I thought about including buster blader since he could easily compare to some strong monsters out there as long as I had dragons out for him to gain power from. Also it's true I don't understand the synchros (I've got junk warrior, one of the colossals, and the Gaia synchro) but they just seem stupid to me as a way for them to make money, The old way is just better to me.

I actually really like synchros. I wasn't too find of them when I got back into the game either, honestly.

I dislike XYZ cards but I can live with them, but I severely dislike the whole new pendelum cards thing they're going with now.
