Since we are trying to spin up more activity, we are looking for a new coach for the Gohans. Since Havoc stepped down. Before we get into how you can apply there are some things you guys need to know and understand: Make sure you have read, understand and are willing to abide by the coach specific rules set out here. Most importantly you need to be able to commit the time and effort to working on and with your team for at least a season. If you feel you aren't or won't be capable of doing so then you shouldn't be applying. Now that's out of the way, the selection process will work as follows. Declare in a post in this thread that you wish to apply for the Gohans. You do not have to have declared for any of the teams already in order to coach them next season. You will write out full builds and AI for all five members of your chosen team as if they were going up against a team consisting of: Majuub, Chiaotzu, Teen Gohan, Tabourine and Pilaf. This does not necessarily mean that these fighters will appear in this order. The full builds need to be accompanied by an explanation as to why your builds and lineup are as they are. The potaras can be found here and rules regarding your teams found here. Your builds and explanations will be discussed by the Staff, who will reach an agreement on the next coach for the Gohans. To be clear on the process: Declare that you wish to apply in this thread , then PM me the builds you wish to audition with. Do not post the builds in this thread. You may find it useful to refer to previous applications to see what has been successful before and why. Most of which can be found in this sub-forum under posts pertaining to "Tryout Results" You have a week from the date of this post to submit your application: the 4th of October; 8pm HST. If you don't understand what HST means, please use this website. After a that time this thread will be closed and no new applicants accepted. Edits made after that time will invalidate your application. Good luck to you all. |

I might as well try for the coach of the Gohans, but i'm just wondering if my supporting of the Buus will be affected. Will it only be affected if i get the position? |

I don't think it'll be affected unless you get the position. |

Yeah it does not get changed unless you get the position. Back when I was supporting the Super Saiyans, I applied for the Earth Defenders' and Valkyries' coaching positions and it was only a few days after getting the Valkyries' position that they finally switched the team that I supported. |

I'll apply for coach. Should I make my builds completely based on previous seasons or with the ai difficulty increase? |

That's half the battle Joey, the league is ever-changing. You've gotta take previous knowledge, see what might change and adapt to it. That is the mark of a good coach. So study the past, but don't hold on to it. |

Finally sent off the application! Burnarator, did you receive it? Also, uh... What exactly does a coach do apart from builds and stuff? I'd like to know what I'm in for. |

Mostly facilitation. You have to post public information of the team as needed, be active in requesting tests, and organize the supporters of your team to formulate plans to move your team forward. Also you have to keep up to date on here with league news on behalf of your team and once the season starts, make sure to post your final builds on time. Everything else I think of is derived from what I just stated so that is essentially it. In other words, a lot of tedious aspects in the off-season and strategic and timely aspects in the regular season. I would suggest making sure you have a few hours a week of time to spend on here...at least. |

Usually about 23 weeks(four for preseason, 15 for the main season, and four for the postseason). So you are looking at almost six months since there is always a chance of a week being delayed.

That... Is a long time... Hmm... I'm sure I'll have time in Uni, but what if I'm on holiday or something? (Anyways, I'm off to sleep now. See ya!) |
