Since we are trying to spin up more activity, we are looking for a new coach for the Gohans. Since Havoc stepped down. Before we get into how you can apply there are some things you guys need to know and understand: Make sure you have read, understand and are willing to abide by the coach specific rules set out here. Most importantly you need to be able to commit the time and effort to working on and with your team for at least a season. If you feel you aren't or won't be capable of doing so then you shouldn't be applying. Now that's out of the way, the selection process will work as follows. Declare in a post in this thread that you wish to apply for the Gohans. You do not have to have declared for any of the teams already in order to coach them next season. You will write out full builds and AI for all five members of your chosen team as if they were going up against a team consisting of: Majuub, Chiaotzu, Teen Gohan, Tabourine and Pilaf. This does not necessarily mean that these fighters will appear in this order. The full builds need to be accompanied by an explanation as to why your builds and lineup are as they are. The potaras can be found here and rules regarding your teams found here. Your builds and explanations will be discussed by the Staff, who will reach an agreement on the next coach for the Gohans. To be clear on the process: Declare that you wish to apply in this thread , then PM me the builds you wish to audition with. Do not post the builds in this thread. You may find it useful to refer to previous applications to see what has been successful before and why. Most of which can be found in this sub-forum under posts pertaining to "Tryout Results" You have a week from the date of this post to submit your application: the 4th of October; 8pm HST. If you don't understand what HST means, please use this website. After a that time this thread will be closed and no new applicants accepted. Edits made after that time will invalidate your application. Good luck to you all. |

Haha, no worries. But you can either message the admins in advance or name one of your supporters to post on your behalf while you are gone. |

Indeed, what Daxter said. A coach is just that, a coach. You're as much inspiring your supporters to bigger and better things as you're building 4 characters a week. A coach does not control a team, the coach leads a team- if the majority wants a certain line-up or a different build, you're going with that build or line-up unless it's an even vote and the coach is the tie-breaker. A coach generally has some pull in discussions because the admins put them there for a reason, but there will be plenty of times where the supporters will be right and a coach has to recognize that. Everything else Daxter said is also true, but also rather simple. For the off-season, you as coach will have to facilitate conversation about the upcoming decisions about this season's changes. You will have an amount of Zeni to bid on a home map, a team theme song that plays when you're playing on your home map, and your free agent. When the season starts, your biggest concern is posting builds by the deadline and requesting tests. If things get hectic, people understand, but you've still got to find a way to make sure your team is running smoothly. Whether that is assigning a second-in-command or figuring out your builds early, is up to you, but you've still got to do what you can to lead when possible. |
