Hey guys! I'm here to remind you all that week 1 of Pre-season 7 will officially begin on next Sunday, the 3rd of Janurary at around 4pm CST. The stream will be on Squee's personal youtube channel, so please make sure to be subscribed to that channel, join the steam group for DBZ League, or keep a watch on the shoutbox for when we are streaming. I will try to make sure to make an announcement in those two places whenever we go live.

As for builds, as per usual, they will be posted by the coach in the final customization sub-forum as per the rules stipulated here. Now, because I am doing the builds this season, along with photoshopping the title cards, etc etc etc. Basically the entire back end of the set up, the builds deadline will be at 11:59 pm HST, every Thursday night. Meaning when it ticks over to Friday at 12:01 AM where I am at (Currently 4:01 AM CST or 5:01 AM EST but will change to 5:01 AM CST or 6:01 AM EST when DST kicks in again. Since Hawaii doesn't observe DST), and you guys don't have a build in, the following will occur:

  1. I will check your private sub-forum for any bench schedule, and will bench that person while randomizing the order of the rest.
  2. If there is no benching schedule, your entire roster along with your benched player will be randomized.
  3. The players that are rotated in will be using the last legal build and AI that is recorded in the Final Customization thread. Even if they are first with Savior, or last with Rising Fighting Spirit.
If there are any errors in builds, they will be dealt on a case-by-case basis, but usually you will just not have anything in that slot. Illegal AIs will be reverted to the last legal AI that has been used. As a reminder, certain characters and certain free agents have been given a "Free" potara. This is not by choice, these players MUST have the potaras. Because of this, and to not cause confusion on my or Squee's part, please ensure that any free potaras are included in your builds. Along with this, please make sure to include what form they start in, even if they are forced to start in it. For example, the SSJs should specify that each of their fighters start in SSJ1 form.

The following characters have free potaras:

As a reminder, the pre-season will only have four fighters, so please specify who you have rotated out, and who you have on the free agent bench. During the pre-season ONLY, you may bench whomever you wish, and swap out your free agent however you wish along with the starting forms of your fighters. Please note though, that the starting forms are still restricted on some characters. For example, we will still not allow Android 13 to be in Super 13 form, but we will allow Zarbon to be in whatever form he wishes and it will not effect the main season. However, once week 1 rolls around, you will be locked into the form you choose. If, during week 1, team Cold decides to start Cooler in his second form, he will be locked to that form for the rest of the season. Similarly, if Cold decides to swap out Frieza for Zangya for week 1, they will not be able to swap their free agent around until week 4. So please be careful. And as a final note, the benching during the pre-season does not effect the main season in the slightest. Even if you choose to bench Krillin during week 4 of the pre-season, you may still start his first bench during week 1 of the main season.

Also, I forgot to mention, that the boost store will not be available during the pre-season. The reason for this is because the whole point of the pre-season is to test things out, and getting back into the swing of things. So it would be kinda strange to let you guys use your limited currency to win games that don't matter. And if we were to let you guys use the boos store for free, then the pre-season would become a ball of craziness that would be confusing for the teams that are testing things out. So we have decided to keep it simple this season.

Another reminder; looking back on my previous posts regarding the weeks you may rotate your Free Agent, it seems I was a bit cryptic. One post says the 3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th and 15th; Yet another says 1st, 4th, 7th, 10th, and 13th. This is my bad, and how we will handle rotating your Free Agent Bench as follows (Mind you, this does not take into account the boost from the DBZL Boost Store):

Week 1 - Choose at the start of the season if your Free agent should be swapped in for a main roster fighter. You will be unable to change during week 2, and 3.
Week 4 - You may choose to rotate your Free agent Bench. You will be unable to change during week 5, and 6.
Week 7 - You may choose to rotate your Free agent Bench. You will be unable to change during week 8, and 9.
Week 10 - You may choose to rotate your Free agent Bench. You will be unable to change during week 11, and 12.
Week 13 - You may choose to rotate your Free agent Bench. You will be unable to change during week 14, and 15.

Sorry again about any confusion that is the result of me derping. If you guys have any other questions, please let me know.

It is as Dimension has said in the shoutbox. Due to the new difficulty, I felt that giving teams a bit more time to test their builds would be appropriate. So, until the main season starts, you guys will be able to continue testing with full builds against whomever you wish. However, once January 31st rolls around, you will be restricted to your own team as usual.
