I was at my pal's house and was talking about Mass Effect3 He introduced me to a game called Binary Domain, I had no idea this game existed but it was very similar to Gears of war (3rd person shooter) Yet it has its own style, i thought it was genius and was really surprised it was released one week ago... My impression of the game was quite good, and I actually enjoyed it more than Gears of war Why was this game swept under the commercial carpet and How can quality games like this not have any media coverage... Thoughts? Edited by 10MtLaw, Mar 6 2012, 08:28 AM.

I havent heard of that game, but probably the main reason for it not being huge gaming news is because their advertising budget was relatively small. Nowadays, many small game companies rely on word of mouth for free advertising (i.e Minecraft) |

Just looked up the games website and from what I am seeing it seems like a very good shooter. A lot of games suffer from being "swept under the rug". I don't like it but it happens in all forms of art, and media. *Word of mouth being vastly improved with the use of the interwebs. Edited by Grey, Mar 6 2012, 10:56 AM.

Yeah, I heard about this game a long time ago actually because I'm constantly downloading trailers off of PSN and this was there. It looked very interesting and the promise of co-op caught my attention. I've also recently played the demo and it's actually pretty fun. |

It actually bugs me that good quality games are ignored just because they can't promote their product, but be sure to check this game out cause i going to buy it |

I've just realised that it was released a while ago and, of course, it only got average ratings. But then again, I really don't give a crap what "professional" reviewers say since I tend to disagree with them anyways. Unfortunately, with Kingdoms of Amalur out and Armored Core V coming out this month, it's not high on my priority list, and I might buy it maybe one or two months from now, despite the fact that I'll probably en up buying used which doesn't really support the developers.

I actually heard about it but never payed attention to it. Not on PC. And since it's published by SEGA, there was no way to have PC port, or at least a good one. |

I have seen advertisments for the game, they're one of those ads that come on before a video. Oh, and I get what you mean on disagreeing with "professional" reviewers. The Kingdoms of Amalur, for example, was reviewed by the "professionals" that it was better than Skyrim, and I can already say, after only playing the first few parts, it is nowhere near that level. |

Yeah about buying used... Its so sad that the developers don't get support off it, so enraging Also i have totally given up on "Professional" reviews as soon as i looked at MW2 and MW3 scores... Believe it or not with reviews like that you can only say they support rehashed titles And do not support innovation, granted that certain innovative titles didn't implement their ideas well in game play P.s Darkness II pretty innovative |
