So, as I was strolling around this little place called internetlane, I found something interesting. Something called "The Nuzlocke Challenge". I think all of us have played at least one Pokemon-game. So apparently, people decided to make those grinding, get the best Pokemon and leggies Evar, games a bit more interesting. They called it The Nuzlocke Challenge, and the main rules are as follows: 1. If a Pokemon faints, it's dead. You will have to release them. 2. You can only catch one Pokemon in one Area (Route, cavesystem, etc.), and only the first you encounter. (Optional, No legendaries). 3. You have to give a Nickname to the Pokemon, to create an emotional bond with them. 4. If all your Pokemon faint, the game is over, you will just have to start at point one. and tons more optional rules. Now, a lot of you might be thinking "Wow, that's just for the people that are bored, and want to make everything a challenge". Well, I have picked up my old "Fire Red" game, and I can tell you: try it out. It's really an experience. But, to the topic at hand, the main reason why it got so popular, was because someone made a comic, documenting all the adventures and deaths of his Pokemon. This spawned more comics, Let's Plays, and even a planned Musical! But one comic really stood out called: "A petty Nuzlocke Challenge". And let me tell you. It's brilliant. The drawer did not only record the adventures, but also some extra really dark plot-points. Sure, it's pretty comical in the beginning, but even I shed manly tears at some point down the road. Here's the link for the website: http://pettynuzlockelg.smackjeeves.com/comics/1033352/a-petty-nuzlocke-challenge-new-cover/ And here's the link to her ongoing Comic of HeartGold: http://pettynuzlockehg.smackjeeves.com/comics/1214263/cover-and-rules/ Really, I would advise anyone to read these. Let me know what you think! (It's a pretty big comic too, 52 comics, and even some flash-animations). Edited by Huzzahfortimelines, Mar 10 2012, 05:11 PM.

I know right! I mean, I was sceptical at first, but the comic really was amazing!

I just finished all the current comics. It was actually quite interesting, though some of the wording was a little difficult to read. Either way it far surpassed my expectations. |

Found it very entertaining, and I too found some of the text hard to read, but it's evolved nicely and is very enjoyable. |
