Give me a minute to educate myself on Constitutional Republics ![]() From what I understand, it means that the populace elect a president & we have representatives of the general population in the government? They have to rule based upon this constitution of internal rule? I am against a plutocracy, but I don't mind the idea of meritocracy |

You got the basic idea. It's the American form of government. A constitution is drawn up by representatives. A leader is elected by rhe people, along with the other branches (there are 3 in America, Executive (leader), Legislative (in Britain, it would be Parliment), and Judicial (the Supreme Court in America)) Each of these balances the others (Legislative can overrule Executive, or impeach both Executive and Judical official, Executive can veto proposed laws, Executive selects judiciaries, and Judicial can declare a action by either house a violation of the constituiton). The branches must follow the stipulations of said constitution. |

It does, but it also plans to make the private sector cooperative eventually, that I don't like (I also don't like the universal healthcare and education, but I'm willling to compromise). |
