As long as it's not the 4kids one. I actually broke my golden rule on One Piece and stated reading the manga because the anime is too slow :P

I love Funimation's One Piece  It took me a while to warm up to it...the horrible scar from 4kids was still raw. And even Funi doesn't do everything right with the series. But what they DO do right is absolutely brilliant...and even more importantly, you can really see that they threw themselves into the series and did their very best to make it as lively and colorful as the original. Funi is good folk. Their version of OP didn't get a very long run before Toonami was axed, which is why I'm hoping for the second chance.

Although, speaking of 4kids' One Piece...I know this is going to sound like blasphemy, but did you know that there is an official dub that's arguably worse? No, I'm serious. I'm dead serious.

I actually never watch the funimation run. I got way too far into the subs. Was it better, equal, or worse than subs?

Been ages since I've seen any of the sub. But the Funimation dub sounds pretty good to me.

Well, it's hard to beat subs, really. The Japanese version always comes in first. But it's still very good, and incredibly faithful to the original. I don't often watch dubs in general because of how strange it is to hear English coming out of obviously Japanese characters...but One Piece's setting goes well with it, in my opinion.

In short, I certainly don't think Funi's dub is better than subs, but it's still worth watching just because of how different it is to watch the show without having to read all of the lines.

I think that a lot of people don't like dubs, because they hear the Japanese voices first.
But anyway, what's a Toonami?

allright, Toonami is this old block of shows on cartoonnetwork. They played japanese and american anime shows like bleach, dragon ball z, Cowboy Bebop. etc. It's hosted by this robotic sounding DJ named T.O.M. and his VI equipped ship the Absolution. The block aired for some time before T.O.M. got a makeover and became... I don't really want to talk about that thing... :( . Anyhow, after that, the block was cancelled. BUT last april first, T.O.M. and the Absolution hijacked adult swim's airing of "The Room" and gave the fans what they really wanted, which even extended to a revieing of Mass Effect 3, which got an 8.5/10. Cartoon Network later announced that since the event acquired so much vast attention (the night that no '90's kids slept) and so many started banding together hoping they would bring it back that they have decided to shake off the rust and give T.O.M. his old job back.
