I was almost hit by a pretty large car once, which really was a close call. Luckily, I had enough energy to get my bike into a fast gear. Then again, I'm sure everyone had a near-death experience (or will have), and if you survive, I think that life seems all the more sweeter.

Well, this one time I was riding my bike, and I wasn't paying attention, and I looked up and saw a car coming towards me. Luckily I got to the side of the road in time. Another time I discovered I was allergic to nuts... The hard way. End result? IV in my arm and a few shots, but I was so drowsy I didn't even feel anything other than a poke in my arm. |

When I was a wee lass, I was out running errands with my dad one time. At some point I got tired and begged to stay in the car 'cause I didn't want to go in any more stores. My dad wasn't thrilled about the idea but he let me stay, since he was just going to be in and out anyway. Next thing I know some big dude is knocking on the car window, trying to get me to open it. He was saying something, but I couldn't understand it, and hells no was I gonna let him in. I kinda just sat there in terror staring at the dude for a full minute. Then my dad comes sailing up, has a few words with the guy, and gets in the car so we can drive away. I asked him what the man wanted and he gave me some vague answer that didn't really make sense. I don't know what that guy wanted for sure, but I have a pretty strong feeling that I dodged a bullet there. The fact that I remember it now despite me being like 7 at the time should be telling about how scary it was. And my dad never left me alone again until I was like 14, lol. I almost drowned as well. Was 5 years old and got my float ring stuck around my ankles while jumping into my pool. Dunno how long I was upside down for but my dad righted me and all was well. Out of all my childhood memories though that one is still my clearest. |

Yeah a few, I was cycling to the city and almost got hit by a tram, same thing with a bus a few years later. Also when we wanted to lit some fireworks it hit a tree and exploded on the ground: I almost lost my ear, but I was thinking that I would lose something more importantly! O yeah, I also got into a fight with a drunk dude, he was wild and he used his NAILS!! (that really hurt a lot!). But I could put him down luckily! |

I have never had the theological NDE, i.e Tibetan book of the dead kind of thing etc. I have had life endangering experiences: 1. I never do up my shoelaces and once as I kid I tripped in the middle of an intersection of two road. Had to roll to the other side of the pavement, as I saw the shoe I left there get crushed by a truck. 2. I fell off the toilet. Which was nailed to the top of a tree. Blacked out, just had a broken arm. 3. Accidently walked into a firing range at CCF. Got shouted at for an hour by Major Payne (this is his actual name). |

...Should I ask why there was a toilet at the top of a tree? |
