Jeez, have a little faith in them. Everyone said Disney was gonna destroy Marvel when they took control of it, and that gave us The Avengers, the 3rd highest grossing film of all time. And I think Episode V is the best example of "The less Lucas is in control, the better it can be" so I think VII can be a "New Hope" for the series. Besides, I think it's waaaaay to early to say if it's gonna be good or bad since there is literally no info on it. So I'm gonna keep my hopes up. |

Agreed. At least give Disney a chance before saying it's terrible. They do have a really good track record when it comes to movies, after all. |

My thought posses to hearing this "STAR WARS, the best movie franchise ever made, now owned by DISNEY, the makers of Mickey Mouse, Cars, Toys Story, and Lilo and Stitch. ![]() ..... That's interesting..... But it might just be what we need. Edited by shogun, Nov 4 2012, 09:45 PM.

I say give them a chance before you all rage on the web, they might surprise you Disney owns Marvel and Avengers was a massive blockbuster granted their seperate movies were ok at best but still, give chance and it might be good. |

Mark me down for "cautiously optimistic." Disney have done right by Marvel properties that they own, so I think Disney can do it right. Whether or not they will is a different story. They're moving the setting to the future to avoid screwing up the ending to the original story, so I think that's a good sign. I personally wish they would do an Episode 0 set in the Old Republic era though, since that's my favorite era in the franchise. Dare to dream, I suppose. Besides, Disney aren't stupid. They know Star Wars is a massive cash-cow franchise with an already enormous fan-base, and they know about the fiasco surrounding Jar Jar. And they know that the current fan-base has a pretty sizable amount of disposable income. I highly doubt they'll change it up too much just to get a few more kids in the theater when it would be such a risk for them. |

I'm hoping they'll go 150 - 200 years in the future and deal with a universe filled once again with Jedi, showing what came to be thanks to all that Luke had set in motion after Episode VI. |
