Well whatever the story will be about, I think it's pretty safe to say that it won't be like this:

So... spin offs. Less sure how I feel about this. They've got the screenwriter from Empire and Raiders, but they've also got the guy who did Mr. and Mrs. Smith and X-Men 3 which is... let's just say, less impressive.

Boba Fett and Han Solo are great and all, but it seems like it could lead to some serious over-saturation. Plus, seriously, who the hell is going to replace Harrison Ford? Come on. He is Han Solo.

I couldn't find anything about a release date for either movie, but if the new trilogy has a new movie every three years (2015, 2018, 2021) then my guess is that these will be released in 2016 and 2017. A new Star Wars film every year could be awesome if they're good. If they're bad... it could end very badly for everyone, especially for Disney. Having this many plates spinning at once right off the bat (WARNING: Metaphor Overload) just seems like a bad idea. I hope they can pull it off, but I'm going to reserve my optimism for these movies.

Disney knows the scope of what they have inherited and while X-Men 3 wasn't the best Mr. and Mrs. SMith, in my opinion, was a pretty good movie. Not to mention I have enjoyed what has been coming as far as Marvel movies. And as far as iconic characters go it's unfair to ask who can replace Harrison Ford. Anyone can replace him if they embody the character right. Han Solo is his own entity and Harrison Ford was the right person at the right time to bring to life that character. But that doesn't mean he can't be substituted. Look at the new Star Trek. So many asked who could play the iconic original crew. How could you replace Shatner and Nimoy and Takei? Well the answer is easy. Get good actors who can dive into those personalities. And I trust Disney to do just that. For good or ill Disney has shown a knack for putting the right person in the right character.

I agree with Disney besides I kinda liked X-Men 3 even though they came out when I was like 6. Soooooo yeah I think Disney can pull it off though.

I'm still pretty skeptical about what Disney can do with Star Wars. Yes, Abrams is a good director, YES, they did make the Avengers movies, but there's only one thing that would make it moderately good for me: Joss Whedon does stuff with the movies.

Yeah but if the characters stick with the story and with the character fully enveloping themselves in the story than just expanding their egos I think it will be atleast okay.

Joss Whedon. Now. No excuses. He needs to do something with it, or I'll still be skeptical.
