That's pretty much the average reaction I get when recommending. However, seeing as how I prefer to buy my anime when possible, I guess I'm used to it...No seriously, I'm saving for this: http://www.amazon.com/Kara-Kyoukai-Kyokai-Blu-ray-Box/dp/B0040QE5NI (I know it's crazy-expensive, but after seeing the original movies, I HAVE to get a blu-ray. Although I'll wait until the 9th one comes out). So I guess I can bear a week of downloading. |

Right now I'm following the Zetsuen no Tempest/Blast of Tempest and Code:Breaker anime. Zetsuen no Tempest is pretty good even if it's sloooooooow from episodes 3-8. After that it gets very engrossing, even though it's mostly dialogue until the end of episode 12, with episode 13 not premiering until some time in January. And the animation is gorgeous. However, it's Seinen rather than Shounen. As for Code:Breaker, it started off with some unbelievably corny moments, and the main character is practically the definition of a Mary Sue, but it's more or less enjoyable right now. My brother, who doesn't even like anime, sat down to watch the latest episode so I guess that says something. I've heard both good and bad things about Psycho Pass, any recommendations? |

Well Psycho-Pass is from Urobuchi Gen(Saya no Uta, Madoka magica, Phantom, Fate/zero) so it's not for everyone... I don't really know your tastes so it's hard to recommend it, especially since it's not finished yet. His stories are bleak, thought-provoking and generally more intellectual than emotional, though there are always some... surprises along the way. Personally I find his works fascinating but I'm still waiting for his masterpiece and I don't think Psycho-Pass will be that one. Still one of my favorite show this season. I think that the first episode is a good idea of what to expect from it, if you can't get past the first and the second episode, then don't bother. |

Well, I've never seen the others but I loved Fate/Zero. I marothoned the whole thing in under a week about a month ago and I liked it more than any anime I've seen since the first season of Darker than Black (which is still currently my favorite anime of all time). I guess I'll give it a shot. |
