As the title says the question for this topic is what is your favorite game. Just a couple baselines Please answer what is your favorite game or franchise and why it is your favorite Please don't bash others for their views. Everyone is allowed their opinion and nobody's opinion is wrong just because you disagree with it. Everyone has different tastes. Now that thats out of the way to start off: My favorite franchise is the Bioshock games (referring specifically to the Irrational made games, 2 was okay but it just wasn't the same). I just love the amount of effort and detail that goes into the design of the world and how it meshes with the gameplay and the story. On top of that the writing in my opinion is top notch and keeps me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. As a nice bonus they are some of the only games to completely surprise me with the endings. |

For me, hand down, the Deus Ex series. I absolutely adore the series. Deus Ex 1 & 3 are fantastic games, Deus Ex 2 not as good but still pretty awesome. I love everything about the games: the setting, the music, the terrible voice acting, the dense and layered story with shittons of conspiracy theories, the cod philosophy, the little moments of NPC interaction, the variety of gameplay options on hand... They are just great, okay?! |

Elder Scrolls. More specifically, Morrowind and Oblivion. No other series has brought me to the same enthralled, absorbed, soul-filled bliss that they have. I've enjoyed every moment of them. Runner ups: DA:Origins, Baldur's Gate Series, Game of Thrones Game, Fable Series, KotOR, Mass Effect Series, Guild Wars 2, Fallout 3. As you can tell, I'm an RPG guy. Favorite Non Video Game Games (The title says game): D&D, Warhammer Franchise, MTG. Edited by Warden of Wisdom, Apr 23 2013, 04:41 PM.
