It was a quiet day on Ordo within the complex, the weather was rather peaceful and the sun was filtering through the trees with in the barrier of the Ordo base. Since the planet was so far out no one expected the Republic to strike there before Dxun so it was rather lax in atmosphere. War was a gruesome time, and Mandalorians truly did relish in it, but every warrior had to step back from the front lines to take a mental and physical break. That was exactly what Ge'carta was doing, her hammock strung between a crate and the tail fin of a fighter. Helmet and vest of chest plates laying on the ground below her both legs were hanging over the sides as she slowly swung back and forth. In a tanktop with her combat belt on, fatigue cargo pants, knee and thigh plates with her boot she was quite comfortable as she relaxed her mind. Black dreadlocks drooping through the netting she hummed an archaic lullaby. But it wasn't for her, it was for the child laying on her chest sound asleep, a hand on his back. It wasn't her kid which was apparent since he was a Devarion and she was a Sephi, but he was the son of a couple in her clan so he fell into her care. The frost bit black fingers would rub against his back, only feeling the pressure in the practically dead appendages. The thought of how to fix that was abolished by a Mandalorian running up, of which she put a finger to her lips to make him keep quiet. "What is it, vod?" Ge'carta whispered, purple eyes fluttering open to meet the black t-visor of the other, the child hardly stirred. "Incoming vessel, unrecorded signage," he quietly explained, nearly out of breath, "Pinged it for armaments, as far as we can tell they're not offensive." "Huh..." the Mand'alor furrowed her brow in thoughtful concentration. They were in the Outer Rim territories, the Republic wouldn't dare come out this far. The Sith were keeping in their end of space. As for the Jedi, she hardly presumed them to head out here with out a comm chat before hand. The next decision was purely gut related, "Let 'em land, we'll ask them what they're after when their boots are on the ground." "Yes, ma'am," the Mando nodded before turning and sprinting back to control. Ge'carta turned her attention back to the child, continuing on with making sure his mid afternoon nap was peaceful, her mind racing at who had the audacity to land on her planet during a time of war. |
