This is to provide you with an overview of what you need to do to become an SG:TBG Team Member. It does not give full details, but you will be directed to where you need to go for full details.

STEP ONE - Registration

Step one may seem fairly easy to you. And for the most part, it is. But there are two different kinds of accounts you can have. The first one is optional, but recommended. This is your Personal Account This account will serve all your OOC (Out of Character) purposes. In your signature, you will have avatars of each character you play.

The second type of account you have is your character account(s). This, more than likely, will be more than one account depending on how many characters will play. You need to register with your character's first and last name. Ranks will not be included in the username since it will be located in both signature/avatar and profile. Please refrain from making a General, Colonel or Lieutenant Colonel as that would undermine the rank of John Sheppard, and he is the ranking military officer.

STEP TWO - Getting the Intel

This step is also equally simple. It is a simple matter of reading through the Guidelines and Mission Reports. All you need to know about RPing with us is located here. The Mission Reports are the summaries of each past episode. It is still a good idea to peruse them when you have time just to re-familiarize yourself with what has happened. Do not move on to Step three until you believe you are fully prepared to continue. If you have any questions, please ask. We are here to help.

STEP THREE - Applications

Applying to be a part of the SGA team is done in an audition format. These auditions are done privately and can be done as many times as necessary to get you on the team. This isn't a one chance thing. After your first audition, if you did not pass, we will help you until you can pass and move on to the good stuff. You can find more information about applying here.

STEP FOUR - The Profile

This step can commence as soon as you register. There are two different templates provided.

Profile Template One is for anyone who is going to be a part of Atlantis and the expedition when the character begins posting. They can be from any world, but have somehow been integrated into the team (Like Teyla and Ronon).

Profile Template Two is for any character who is not part of Atlantis like the Wraith, Genii or Replicators. This also counts for those who may be part of the expedition, but will not be when they begin posting.

Once you have decided where your character will fit, choose the appropriate template and post your character's profile in Pending Profiles. From the moment you register you may begin process on the profile. You do not need to wait to pass the other parts of the audition to begin this process because you cannot begin until your profile is complete and approved and the process may take some time. But please keep in mind that you will only have one month (four weeks) to complete your first Profile. If you cannot complete the bio in that amount of time, the character will be scratched.

Note that there is a limit to how many times you may submit your character's profile for approval. If you submit it three times, and it is still not approved, the character will be scratched. We give comprehensive and detailed assessments and there is no reason you can't use the first round for guidance.

Once your profile is ready to be approved, reply to your profile stating so. Please do not ask about the progress of your application. Some take longer than others for completely different reasons. Some staff members might be busy, there may be a topic of interest being discussed. Asking us why it might be taking so long or when it will be done will only annoy us.

STEP FIVE - Start posting!

This is probably the easiest step of all. Once you have completed steps one through four, you may begin posting where you wish to post, unless you've been advised otherwise.

Good Luck!
