Well Canada and more directly Toronto may finally get it's first NFL team possibly just after the 2007-2008 season with the mega rich Rogers conglomerate....current owners of the Toronto Maple Leafs & Toronto Raptors vying for the first NFL franchise in Canadian history! And guess what the Skydome that has sucked billions out of tax payer dollars will not be good enough so yet again tax payers will have to foot the bill for a new stadium that will meet NFL guidelines....OH JOY. Well I'm sure an NFL team in Toronto will only be a good thing for the tourist & service industry but people in Toronto always seem to get stuck footing the bill I hope this time ole Mr.Rogers uses his own money for this investment and not the taxpayers of Toronto & Ontario! My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we will change the world. All my very best, Jack Layton | |

nfl comes to toronto and the cfl dies. also, the "Rogers center" (i HATE that name; it's the friggin' SKYDOME!) should be more than good enough for an nfl team considering that toronto isn't really a football town anyway. at this point i'm supprised that Rogers hasn't bought the ACC yet. |
