Darkened sky, the waning light of the sun setting just over the horizon slowly disappearing as twilight swept in and blanketed the sea around Simplyacity Island. The stars were the only source of light for tonight was a New Moon and no light was reflected across the waters from it. Even the stars barely gave off a glow for it was cloudy, a storm brewing and it would arrive quite soon. On this dark cloudy night a large marine ship was approaching the island of Simplyacity. It was obviously captained by someone important for it had a sea-stone coated hull, allowing it to migrate across the Calm Belt with only minor issue. It could be believed, that if the ship belonged to a marine and he was important enough to be given a coating of seastone, then plausibly he either had a crew of very powerful fighters (Or maybe just a couple) that could easily wipe out Seakings, or maybe he himself was powerful enough to take on a nest of seakings without causing too much of a ruckus. As the ship reached the port and docked it seemed that it would be the latter, for standing at the bow, just above the figurehead was a tall man, seven feet tall and wearing pure, shining white armour. Upon his waist was a sword, quite ornate but wide bladed and deadly for even though nobody could tell just by looking at him (Although they may suspect) he could wield the broadsword with a single hand, the five foot blade proving no issue for him as he cut through obstacles.The facial structure of the man himself was chiseled, unblemished yet showing a maturity and an experience of fighting that not many had at that age, or at least not quite yet. As the ship halted at the docks the man, rather than use a gangplank to disembark from his ship he dropped from the top of the prow and landed with a heavy thud on the deck, a creak of wood from the weight of both the man and his armour. Once he hit the docks, the man began striding forwards, long and unhindered strides that caused the docks to creak with every step. He was also seemingly unaffected by the wind which was causing the blue cloak to fly out behind him, causing it to not get tangled between his legs as it most likely would had the wind been blowing from behind him. As the large marine stepped off the docks he was approached by a man whom he paid the docking fee to, only a few hundred beli which made little difference to the amount of coinage the man possessed back on the ship. This exchange was without words, just as well for the dockmaster for he was too tired to hold conversation and was quite honestly intimidated by the man who possessed such a large sword (About the same height as the dockmaster himself was) and wore it like it was nothing. Once the exchange was finished the marine headed towards an inn, he was here to eat, restock his supplies and move onto the next island. He also needed to purchase a Logpose as his last had been broken on his way here due to an unfortunate fight with some pirates who now lay in the brig, having been fed and watered before disembarkation. Entering the inn caused everything to instantly quiet, (of course there were only a few people in the inn and it wasn't that loud to begin with) but as the heavy man thudded inside not a sound could be heard except for him walking over to an empty table in the corner and sitting in the large chair that had seemingly been made for large people. Of course he made sure he sat on his cloak so as to not damage the furnishings and he removed his gloves, setting them to the side of the table so that he could eat. As he looked around he took in his surroundings, a dimly lit room with a fireplace at one end and a bar at the other end. The door when opened gave a view of the bar from the outside and at the bar were eight stools. In the room there was a total of fourteen round wooden tables, in a circular formation with four chairs at each. Against each wall was a bench, capable of seating about ten to fifteen people. The room also had a single chandelier in the center of the ceiling and off behind the bar was a doorway leading to the kitchen. On the opposite side of the building from the door was a stairway which probably lead up to the second floor where the rooms for rent would be. When one of the serving maids approached him and spoke he looked at her with little interest in her actual beauty but rather with the mild interest that said she could do something for him, which in this case was get him his food and drink. "Good er...evening I guess Sir, would you like something to eat or drink?" The woman was obviously intimidated by the large man who had a look upon his face that was neither friendly nor menacing. She however was one who overcame her fears quickly and so what started out as a hesitant sentence became more confident near the end. "Hmmm, yes please I would indeed like something to eat as well as something to drink, for food it doesn't matter whatever you have on hand but to drink I would prefer something such as a tankard of milk if you have any." It was quite a surprise to the maid that such a large man could speak so quietly and not bring down the roof with a loud voice. He had done this on purpose so as not to scare anyone and as soon as he had spoken the little noise that had existed before his entering returned, the three men who sat near the center of the room beginning to speak as they had been, quietly but not trying to hide what they were saying. And so as the maid left to go retrieve the food and drink that had been asked for the marine busied himself with listening to the conversation without letting those who held it to know what he was doing. "It is terrible, that Baron is destroying our living, we can't just let him continue destroying our crops and cattle, he needs to be dealt with." "How do you propose we do that? We can't call the marines because he has destroyed all the communications devices that we had and if we send out a ship then he will know and he might kill someone because of it" "That man who just came in, he looks like a marine maybe he could help?" "What can a lone man do against a cyborg like the Baron? That man might be big but I am sure that heavy armour would slow him down and even though the Baron himself is quite slow if that man gets hit know amount of armour will protect him from a blast that can sink a ship." "I say we talk to him and ask him, he is obviously powerful and we don't know what kind of skills he has, maybe he himself is a Cyborg." "How about we do it after he is finished eating, don't want to get him angry because we interrupted him. "So we have all agreed we are asking him for help?" "Yes." "Yes." "Alright lets sit and wait." And with that the three men busied themselves with drinking their beer and eating their food, leaving the marine to ponder on what he would be fighting against when he took up answered their plea for help. A few moments after the men quit speaking the serving maid returned, a large bowl of stew on a platter with a half a loaf of bread beside it in one arm and a large tankard of milk carried behind her by the inn keeper. They both looked tired and weary, possibly because it was so late and they had to keep the inn open so as to gain a little more custom due to the baron causing havoc, or maybe just because they hadn't been sleeping well because of the barons antics. Either way it made little difference as to the why they were fatigued just that they were fatigued. It took him about ten minutes to finish the stew and drink the milk, refilling said tankard of milk three times so in total drinking about nine liters of milk in this meal. After doing so he removed from the coin pouch that was at his hip, right beside his scabbard enough beli to pay for the meal and drink, placing it on the table beside his empty dishes. The three men at the table waited until the maid had removed both the money and the dishes before approaching their savior. They were quite surprised by his reaction as he pushed out three chairs from the table for them to sit and then spoke before they could say anything. "I will deal with this Baron for you, all I require is where I will find him and how many men reside under his control, this way I can make provisions for the amount of men I will have to place under arrest." The three men looked at each other, shrugged and gave him the information he asked for. The Baron could be found in residence at the Church of Saint Claire where he had been staying as it was one of the nicest places on the islands. There was nobody with him aside from a single man who served and brought alcohol to him whenever he needed to refuel. It was said that the man was quite meek and easily intimidated but that anyone who attempted to do so was hunted down by the Baron and made example of. He rarely ever killed anyone just broke bones and punished them however he saw fit. And so it was with this information that the Dealer of Justice stood up and exited the inn, thudding heavily on the floorboards as he replaced the gloves on his hands and headed back towards the docks. He would sleep on his boat tonight, but lightly so that if anyone were to attempt to get at him while he was sleeping he could deal with them quickly. And so the night wore on as the marine slept standing up as he always did, hand on the hilt of his sword as he waited for morning and the beginning of his campaign towards liberating this island. |

~~~Post by Draven Eclipse~~~ The ship rocked quietly back and forth on the waves as it approached Simplyacity Island. It was a large unmarked ship carrying sensitive cargo that needed to make it to the island without being halted by the calm belt. The ships sensitive cargo was an Marineford Eternal. However this cargo did not go unprotected as it was held on the person of Kogeki Eclipse, Cipher Pol 5's Chief. He had been given explicit orders to travel to Simplyacity to meet up with Captain Desnoyers and deliver it to him. The reason he was being sent and not some marine is because of exactly where it lead to. The World Government did not trust a normal marine crew to deliver it after one was nearly stolen from a crew by a group of Revolutionaries. As the island grew closer Kogeki slept away in his bed. This was interrupted however by a rapping noise at his door. Slowly he sat up in his bed and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. "Enter" was all he said as he stood from the bed. The woman who enter began to speak but blushed and looked away as the only thing he was wearing were his black and purple Hello Kitty boxers. When Kogeki realized why she was blushing. "Kate, I believe you had something to tell me? Nine inches if that is what your wondering" he said with a bemused look on his face. This however caused her to blush more and stutter as she spoke. "S-sir! I-I would never!....That isn't to say your unattractive! You are actual quite handsome, Um I....excuse me while I go remove my foot from my mouth" she said as she turned away beat red and headed for the door. Before he left he removed the Marineford Eternal and the small box that held it from its hiding place and put it in his pocket. Kogeki laughed as he walked over to his wardrobe and pulled out his suit. It took him five minutes to put on his suit and head out the door. He proceeded to the deck to speak with the Captain of the vessel. "I heard we are close to island" he told the Captain. He figured that is what Kate was their to tell him anyways, after all thats the only reason they would bother him while he was sleeping. "Yes sir Mr. Eclipse. We will be docking shortly." And true to his word the ship docked quietly without incident next to a large Marine ship. Kogeki thanked the man and jumped off the ship and landed on the dock. As he passed the harbor master who looked tired due to the early hours he dropped some coins in his pocket. By this time it was early morning and the town beginning to do their daily chores and jobs. He then headed to the nearby inn to get some information. As he entered people silenced and looked at him. With his sunglasses on and his Suit, he certainly stuck out among the throngs of locals. He grinned at the people in the bar and greeted them a good morning. He proceeded to go around and question the people about the Captain he was looking for. At first nobody wanted to say anything, thinking he was an agent of the Baron but soon the eased up when the realized he had no clue who this Baron Figure was. Turned out that he had been making their life hell and that his Captain friend was going to go deal with it. However he was in luck for they said he was still on his ship. He thanked the people and headed towards the ship. It did not take him long to make it back onto the docks and over to the Marine Ship. He jumped up onto the deck and stood there waiting, for the Captain to show up. |
Darkness enveloped him as he slept, and dreams came to him and pierced the darkness. Those dreams would light the darkness only as long as he was unconscious, for he would not remember any of them when he awoke. It was a good thing he would not remember the dreams, for many he could not allow himself to know. His dreams were permeated with the normal things, fights ending in the apprehension of pirates or criminals, beautiful women kissing and dancing with him, and death. He dreamed a thousand deaths a thousand times a thousand different ways. Death by pirates, death by drowning, death by seaking, death by falling. All these deaths and many more came to him in his dreams, most were normal deaths but others were irrational, like being executed as a traitor to the marines or dying from food poisoning. It was these, the most unlikely ways of death that would scare him the most if he could know them, for if he could remember his dreams he would know fear. Consciously he knew no fear of death, he would fight with all his might and kill without mercy against pirates if they did not surrender. He would dive into the water after a downed comrade if need be, with no regard to his safety. In many cases his lack of fear turned into stupidity, for if he were to attempt to save someone he may end up drowning himself because he never removed his armour, hence the drowning dreams. And so as the night wore on the dreams became more vivid and more gruesome, taking on the forms of him being butchered and cannibalized. Meanwhile in the darkness outside of the ship, the weather began to change. Rain fell, starting out as a light mist and then it grew, the precipitation becoming as large as a mans fist and the pounding rain could be heard all over the island. Such large amounts of rain also caused damage to the local buildings, tin roofs denting, wooden roofs being worn away and anyone unfortunate enough to be caught outside was drenched and battered if not beaten unconscious by the time they were inside again. The man slept for many hours, eventually awakening and looking around the cabin to ascertain that everything was how it should be. His first thoughts upon awakening were that his armour was in place and his hand was on the hilt of his sword as it should be. When his eyes opened he looked around the cabin, small and quaint, a single closet to hold his extra cloaks and gloves and a single desk with a chair bolted down. This chair had a protective coating and special cushions so that the ornate design would not be damaged by his armour. That was the thing about these ships, they could not be customized as an overall ship but nobody cared what kind of temporary items you placed within. Once he had finished making sure everything was as it should be he removed his hand from the hilt of his sword and stepped forwards and then turned, exiting the cabin in one swift motion after opening the door. He would go for a walk around the ship deck for a bit and think before he returned to his cabin to plan. As he walked, he did so softly, the clunk of his armour barely audible due to the damp wood and the fact he walked so lightly. This was a daily routine, awaken, make sure everything was as it should be and then exercise whilst checking out the ship. He knew he would awaken if everyone tried to tamper with the ship as it would obviously make some kind of noise, but he never let up and always made sure just in case. Besides, the loud rain last night could have hidden someone making noise so it was even more reason for him to go over everything. The first thing he went over was the railings, walking beside them and testing each piece to make sure nothing had happened to them. Every time he reached a different piece of equipment (A winch or the tiller for example) he stopped and checked it over before continuing his inspection. Eventually he finished, everything checking out and nothing out of place but a rope that had moved under pressure from the high mass of precipitation falling upon it but nothing major and nothing that was caused by anything other than the rain. It was only after this completion that he returned to the cabin, sitting in the chair in front of the desk and pulling out some papers and a few pens. Laying them out he began to write and plan. Hmmmm, how to go about doing this...I have a map of the island so I know where everything is but I don't know the lay of the land and so I will need the help of the locals. The only issue with this is that they might be too scared to help, however it might not be an issue if I prove that I can handle this Baron. Speaking of the Baron, I wonder what kind of bounty we have on him, maybe I should call in to HQ to get some more information...yes I will do that. As he was about to do exactly that suddenly he felt something. Someone was on his ship, and that someone was waiting. What that person was waiting on he didn't know, maybe it was him to come out and the person would attack him, or maybe they just wanted to speak. It could even be the Baron himself and that would make things all the easier, for it meant that the Baron had heard of him or maybe had seen the ship and come to investigate. Then again, that probably wasn't it because the Baron was said to be a Cyborg and unless he was a speed Cyborg (Which he highly doubted because he remembered something about the man being able to take out a ship with a single technique) this was not the Baron. Since it was not the Baron that meant that it was either the Barons man, one of the townspeople (Another doubtful option due to the person literally jumping onto his ship as he had heard nothing that would have caused him to know someone was climbing up the side of the ship) or someone else that could either be friend or foe. It really didn't matter to him who was doing it as all it changed would be the way he kicked them off the ship, with either a good swift kick to the head or gently picking them up and dropping them in the water. And so he raised himself upwards, his armour making not a single sound for it was well oiled and kept in perfect condition. His first choice was to walk out there and get straight to the business of removing them from his ship, his second was to draw his sword and launch an attack which would cause them to either be eliminated or jump from the ship. The first risked that he himself would get attacked, the second risked him killing the person (Plausibly someone who was innocent which was a less favorable option) so he chose the first, opening the cabin door and exiting, hand on hilt and him swiftly walking over to the man that stood there, ready to pick him up and throw him into the water if he did not move and then jumping down onto the shore to hold conference with them when they exited the sea. |
~~~Post By Draven Eclipse~~~ Kogeki stood their on the deck of the ship waiting for the Captain. He had been given a picture to memorize before setting out so he knew what the man looked like. However he would not just hand the Marineford Enternal over to him when he saw the man. He would need to confirm that this was him and not some impostor. He had heard of a devil fruit that gives people the ability to look like other people and would not risk losing something so precious to a pirate like that. He stood their for a good thirty minutes waiting for the Captain to come out. Soon he heard the heavy footsteps coming up the stairs to the deck. He didn't ear a bit of noise from the armor but the heavy footsteps were a dead giveaway. He watched as the man came closer to him with his hand on the hilt of his sword. Clearly the man did not trust him and that was smart. After all Kogeki could have been an agent of the Baron that is terrorizing the locals and making their lives hell. If Kogeki was the baron, he wouldn't want the people contacting the marines for help either and would try and eliminate a threat right away. When the man stopped coming closer Kogeki introduced himself. "Good morning Captain Desnoyers. You are looking rather well rested....." was all he got out of his mouth before the Captain grabbed him and picked him up. "Woah, what the hell?" he said as he was dropped over the edge of the boat towards the water. Lucky for him however, phoenix's could fly and he transformed into his full blue firey form. He flew just over the water and into the air. He circled around once before flying behind the man and transforming into his human form again, looking at the man with confusion. "What the hell was that for? I am a Cipher Police agent not some petty trespasser of the Baron" he said rather annoyed by the mans actions. He calmed himself and straightened his tie. "Now do you know why I would be here Captain?" he asked the rather strong man. |

It was quite a surprise to the marine when the person he had decided to drop off the boat suddenly transformed into a majestic fiery bird and began to fly. It was quite a fantastic site and held the large man spellbound for a moment. But that was all, exactly a single moment was he held spell bound before his mind began to think in overtime. His thoughts coincided with whether he would attack the man, throw him again or kindly ask him to remove himself from the ship with an obvious threat behind said asking. Hmmmm, how interesting, a Zoan Devil Fruit user, most likely something rare and not found very often, since it is a Mythological Creature it might be called a Myth Zoan, could be wrong, don't know much about Zoans and Devils Fruit in general. Well a Phoenix, what do I know about them, they are fiery birds who can heal and are impossible to kill due to reincarnating anytime they do die. I wonder if this man can die, I could ask him but that shall be after I get him off my boat. The question is how to do so, guess I will be quite polite and ask him to remove himself as soon as he tells me what he wants...Maybe a threat of my blade? Nah, don't want to get off on the wrong foot if he is someone important. Alright, so asking politely it is, time to deal. This batch of thoughts went through his head so quick that by the time he was finished thinking the Phoenix man had barely gotten above the rails of the ship. The trespasser probably underestimated the speed of the large armoured marine but that could be fatal, not in this case of course but in the cases of combat it was definitely fatal for the enemy to underestimate the speed at which he could move. When the man in the suit dropped on deck behind him he spun around to face him with such speed that the standard man would be quite surprised. Of course, in this case the person he was faced with could see him do it quite easily but he also knew that he would be incapable of matching such speed, or so that was what the thoughts of the Captain would have been had he known the rank and status of the person in front of him. Of course, it was quite simple to figure that out, all he had to do was wait a few seconds and the suited guy began to speak, quite annoyed at being manhandled the way he had. "What the hell was that for? I am a Cipher Police agent not some petty trespasser of the Baron" Was what he was told, and then something even more interesting happened, rather than state his reasoning for being here he asked the Captain what he thought he was doing here. Very political and very smart, manipulating so as to acquire information on how much the person knew even before he had gained the knowledge that was going to be imparted upon him, very very smart. Political, smart, manipulative, this man is perfect for his job, a Cipher Pol agent who knows what he is doing is always a good thing, I love when people are perfect for their jobs, whether they be Marines, Agents of the World Government or just a common blacksmith who knows what he is doing. If you fit, you mesh and that is art, so amusing and amazing and quite entertaining...Oh well, time to get down to business and deal with the guy. The only change in the facial expression that could be registered on the Captains face was that of surprise and a softening of attitude. The surprise was obviously from the fact that he had not expected to meet an agent of the Cipher Pols out here where he was, let alone have them arrive on his boat to give him information or some such thing. The softening of attitude could be taken many ways, whether it be the fact that he now knew who the trespasser was, or maybe it was because the man posed little threat, or at least, little threat to the Captains person. Either way it was all good and as he spoke it was with little patience but that little amount that was there could be registered if someone was paying attention. "Hmmm, well I suppose you are going to tell me anyways and so I will let you have your say, whether I know what you are going to tell me or not doesn't matter if you can't do your job because I reveal I know. Anyways, apologies for throwing you off my ship but I do not suffer trespassers very calmly and so I am going to have to ask you to remove yourself immediately and if you so choose to come with me to the nearby inn so we can speak there." Quick, short, sweet and to the point, that was what this little speech was as he launched himself from the boat and landed on the docks, the wood creaking from the heavy landing. He was heading back to the inn, the sun by now rising just above the horizon, the shadows dancing across the water slowly failing and dissapearing. It was a beautiful sunrise and would have been noticed and appreciated by the Captain on any other day. The thing with today was that he had business to take care of, for not only did he have to deal with the Cipher Pol but he also had to deal with the Baron, the pirate that was terrorizing this island and was going to be brought to justice by the Captain. It was as he walked through the front door of the inn, the keeper having just awoken and still sipping on his morning coffee that it hit him. The Cipher Pol agent would make his life so much easier and would allow the liberation of this islands people to continue smoothly and come quicker. It was quite a good plan but the question was, how to get the Cipher Pol to help, and whether the agent would be up to the challenge. As he approached the center he realized that he was the only person in the Inn at this time. There was no one else other than the Innkeeper and he realized that it was quite early indeed, so early that the majority of the islands population was still slumbering. Oh well, it gave him a head start and time to plan. And so he sat down at a table near the center, shaking his head when the Innkeeper offered him something to drink and waited, waited for something to happen, whether it be the Baron arriving or the Cipher Pol agent walking through the door as he would be any second. |

~~~Post by Draven Eclipse~~~ Kogeki listened to the man as he spoke. The way he spoke, the tone, the mannerisms. Yes, this was the man he was looking for. He even noticed the subtle facial changes as he relaxed slightly around him. An impostor would have grown cautious and suspicious. However the man was none of this and politely requested him to remove himself from his ship, which Kogeki was more than happy to do. He watched as the large mans armor tested the strength of the dock he walked on with its weight. Deciding not to risk adding his own weight to the poor docks limit and just waited for the man to reach dry land. Once it was safe to get off the ship he jumped onto the deck. He put his hands into his pockets and felt the Marineford Eternal safely in its box still. After straightening his sunglasses he walked across the docks after the man. However as he made it onto dry land a little girl pulling her mother over by the bottom of her dress appraoched him. "Wook mommy its the man. The 'Finks from the book daddy reads me to go to bed" she said with a smile bright enough to light up the darkest room. Kogeki kneeled down in front of the girl and removed his sunglasses, smiling at the girl. "Hello there little miss, what is your name?" he asked her smiling back at her. "My name Marina, Mr. Finks. I am seven and a half years old" she said to him proudly. "My my so old now, I am sure you will be just as beautiful as your mother here when you grow up" he said to her, causing her to giggle. "Sorry sir, my daughter thinks you are a Phoenix from the story books her father reads to her. Just an overactive imagination, she means no harm" the woman asked with an apologetic tone. "Ahh so thats what she meant by Finks....She must have seen my display earlier" Kogeki thought to himself. "I assure you miss your daughter is actually correct on this. I am a phoenix man" he said as he transformed into his full Phoenix form. and stood there looking down at the surprised mother and excited young girl. "I assure you my flames are perfectly harmless, you have no need to fear them" he said to the two. The womans shock turned to awe as she looked at the majestic creature before her. "So beautiful" she said in awe as she reached forwards and lightly ran her hand over the harmless flames. "Mr. Finks Mr. Finks" the little girl said getting his attention, "Are you gonna get rid of the meanie Baron like in the stories?" she asked him with eyes full of hope. He leaned his neck down towards her and spoke "Yes Marina, my friend and I are here to make sure the Baron never hurts anyone else again" he said before lightly pecking her only the forehead playfully, exciting another giggle from her. He then transformed back into his human form and looked over at the mother who had tears in her eyes. "Thank you, thank you so much for coming to do this" she said throwing her arms around him crying with joy. He patted her back. "Its no trouble miss, I will not let brutes like him make innocent peoples lives hell just because he can" he said to her. "What is your name please?" she asked him. "It is Kogeki Eclipse" he spoke with a bow before continuing, "If you will excuse me I must go to the inn to discuss with my friend our strategy and then go deal with the Baron" he said excusing himself with a bow. He walked off towards the end with the little girl yelling after him "Thank you Mr. Finks" causing a smile to spread across his face as he replaced his sunglasses where they were a moment ago. In a few moments he reached the inn and stepped through the doors. He saw his ally in the corner at a table but he made his way over to the bar and order a drink. It didn't contain much alcohol but it was rather delicious. He then made his way over to the table and sat down across from the man. Luckily they were the only ones in the room. "Now as to why I am here. I have ascertained you are indeed who I have been sent to find. I am here to give you this" he said pulling the box out of his pocket and setting it on the table. He opened the lid revealing the Marineford Eternal for a moment before closing it and sliding it across the table. "Last night while I was looking for you I have learned of the Baron, and that you were going to take him down. I wish to lend my services in this endeavor. I refuse to let the Baron terrorize these people" he said with calm determination in his voice. |
He waited patiently for the man, when a few minutes went by and he didn't arrive the Marine signaled that he would indeed like something to drink and was rewarded with a nice hot cup of coffee. He slowly sipped on it and waited, thinking and contemplating as too what he should do. His first declaration was that he would need to call in a ship from the nearest Marine Base to pick up the prisoners he had on board his ship as well as the Baron who he would be capturing in the next few hours. I wonder...what would be the nearest Marine base? Probably A-7, which means it is going to take them quite awhile to get here...I guess I might as well call them and tell them to meet us at Spy Island, once they do that we can wait and then head back to A-7 since I have to go there anyways. Alright, plans made, contact A-7 and have them send a prison ship. Now to deal with this Cipher Pol guy. It was perfect timing, once the Captain had made his decision the man he had been awaiting had finally arrived. The man was in his suit and looked...well he didn't know what the man looked like really, just that it was different and he wasn't in the mood for deciphering what people thought and acted like in different situations and why he was being and doing whatever. The first thing the man did when he entered was look over at the waiting marine at the table. Instead of directly coming over he went to the bar and ordered a drink, plausibly alcoholic maybe not. If it was it showed little discipline in the man and lost him some respect that might have been gained just from being who he was. After ordering said drink he walked over to the table and sat down directly across from him and then spoke. "Now as to why I am here. I have ascertained you are indeed who I have been sent to find. I am here to give you this" Were his words as he removed a box from his jacket and placed it on the table, opening to show what it was (A log pose labeled with Marineford in which case being an Eternal Pose delivered to him) before speaking again. "Last night while I was looking for you I have learned of the Baron, and that you were going to take him down. I wish to lend my services in this endeavor. I refuse to let the Baron terrorize these people" As he finished the little speech the Marine closed his eyes and smiled ever so slightly as he quickly ran through the possibilities that were now confirmed do to the promise of participation. Alright, now he shall be helping me and since he is of the Cipher Pols his techniques will be quite the help. Then again, he might not know many techniques or any at all...that hasn't been made clear but I would think if he has a Devil Fruit and can literally jump from the docks onto my ship then he should be able to use one or two, maybe Geppou since that would be an easy way to get onto my ship. Hmmmm, we shall see...besides if he did know them he might not be that skilled with them, not like the Vice Admirals who trained me and used them to get the upper hand on me. Oh well, we shall see what happens when we get into battle It was with this ending thought that he opened his eyes and spoke, firmly and with some respect but not enough to say they were anything more than equals if not the Captain being the superior. "Very well then, so if you will be helping me eliminate the Baron then we should know each others names. Mine as you seemingly know is Florentin Ambard Desnoyers, Captain in the World Governments Marines. And you are?" The question was posed as something that demanded an answer, and if no answer was given repercussions may follow. Of course, this was only the way the question was posed, not what would actually happen. Whilst he had been introducing himself Florentin had signaled with hand movements for the Innkeeper to come to him. The Innkeeper retrieved the empty cup from Desnoyers coffee and was informed promptly after the introduction that breakfast and a tankard of milk was in order. When it was brought over Florentin dug into the crispy bacon and cheesy scrambled eggs, sided with buttered toast and a choice of various jams and other spreads. When he finished the bacon and eggs he drained the tankard of milk (About four litres worth) and moved onto said toast, spreading cheese spread, raspberry jam and a weird brown butter that appeared to have nuts in it. All in all, it was quite good and by the end of his eating he had drained a second and was working on a third tankard of milk. |
~~~Post by Draven Eclipse~~~ Kogeki watched as the man retrieved the Marineford Eternal and smiled at a job well done. Flawless and without a single incident. Now what he was getting ready to embark on was personal. The Baron would die and he would never trouble these peoples lives again. Now the marine with him may want to try and capture him but Kogeki wanted to make damn sure this man never even got the chance to harm a person again. As long as he was alive, there was a chance. He watched as the man began to eat his breakfast. Kogeki himself would not eat until the Baron was taken down. Whenever a fight was about to come up that he was planning for, he would fast. He preferred to be light on feet and not have anything unnecessary in his system. Besides a few hours of fasting before was nothing. He has fasted for three days once as part of his training back on the Fighter States. He took a sip of his drink and then answered the mans question "I am Kogeki Eclipse, Chief of Cipher Police 5." He took another sip of his drink before setting it down. "Now we need to get down to when and how this fight will happen. I will need at least ten minutes before the fight begins to consume the necessary amount of alcohol to be in perfect form for fighting. Now this may seem odd to you but alcohol slightly numbs your body as one of the first step and that will make it easier for me to take hits. Also you should know this will require a great deal for me as my Phoenix nature filters alcohol rather quickly through my system. I notice you are a sword fighter and that you were armor which is why you would not need such a method but I am a close quarters combat fighter and such things methods were part of my training" he said quite honestly to the man. " I tell you this so you don't think me irresponsible or that I do not take the work we will be doing seriously. I believe in being upfront with my allies to build a foundation of trust. I wish for you to be able to trust me for I trust you" he said extending his hand in a sign of friendship and partnership. The next move was up to the man. They each had their own styles of combat and he wanted no misunderstandings between them. |
