Daddy-long-legs Phalangium opilio Most people think these creatures are spiders, but they aren't. If you look closely, you will see that spiders have two body parts, while daddy-long-legs have only one. The mix up is between the daddy long legs and the daddy long legs spider two differrent beasts. the daddy long legs we know is also known as a crane fly tipulidae oleracea the main problem they cause is in the larve which hatch under water or in thatch roofs and can cause damage that way. the adults rarely feed as adults but the larve are scavengers. crap useless info any one got some good useless info??????????

DADDY LONG LEGS Look For: Reddish-brown hair on there chin, with four pairs of long, thread-like legs. Length: 1/8-1/4". Habitat: Woods, fields, my house and BIKE RALLIES. Range: Widespread. but what do they eat? and how long do they live? do they like jaffa cakes??? |

It feeds on small insects or the corpses of larger ones. It has a penis, which makes it different from spiders, and it does a mating dance. |

:lol: i have a feeling that your jaffa cakes are safe but keep an eye on them anyway. they're never safe from anything or anyone. the only safe thing to do is to carry them everywhere with you or alternativly give them to me to look after
