So, I'm a big Dr. Mundo fan. He's my favorite champion period. However it seems that the community seems to think he's useless in anything but 3s. I would like to start some discussion about the purple lug in the thread. Like ideas on how to get the best results with him on summoner's rift. And maybe get some ideas about him after his new change to his ult and Cleaver. I'm still a fairly new player having been playing since august only. But I'd really like to not have once again picked a useless character for my favorite as in most games I play. So I'd love to hear some thoughts and opinions from the more experienced members of the Game. |

I think it's all about how you build him. Tank mundo brings nothing to the table, yet this is a popular build. A Mundo going dps on the other side can be devestating, delivering massive dmg at the same time being a bitch to kill. It's only in the eyes of the baddies that any one champ is truly useless. If you practice and accumulate skill Mundo is a beast. And with the buff to the cleaver his lane presence is even stronger than before. I love having Mundo on my team, and I hate facing him. Well I will certainly try my best to build up said skill and be the resident Mundo man. Also what do you feel is a good DPS build. I tend to build attack speed and health and such and let Masochism deal out the pain. |

Smurf- I find a fairly traditional dps/soak mundo is as follows: spirit visage, boots, starks, last whisper, IE, random item as you see fit. you're right about damage being somewhat secondary, and the passive of IE is more important to mundo than its damage stats. One important decision to make is whether or not you need frozen mallet. If you're consistent with your cleavers, it shouldn't be an issue, but if you don't trust your skill shots to hit 90% of the time in a chase, I would probably add mallet in there as well. Another frequently used Mundo item is sheen/triforce. Given how spammable cleaver is, you get alot of procs, and the crit chance/movespeed is awesome on mundo, as is the slow and HP. In the end, you need to find your sweet spot, and go from there. Everyone has their own preferences. |

well leviathan would be cool, but i tend to die more than I'd like. Mostly because I get focused a lot. Which I can't tell if it's a good thing or a bad thing. So far though I've been building Spirit visage, starks, Ghost blade, Boots, and then adding more MR or health depending on the other guys. Success is based on how easily I can beat the itty bitties to a pulp to how fast they can burst me. which I gues is business as usual for Mundo |
