Hands down country! I've grown up having to listen to it and can't listen to more then 15 minutes of it.

And Raven, do you really hate all rap? Most of the stuff you see on TV, music videos, and on the radio isn't considered by many purists to be real rap, just pawns of the music industry execs who want to sell records.

Try out Immortal Technique, Gang Starr, and AZ if you want real stuff with less swearing and more subject matter. :wink2:

I just can't stand the stuff on MTV, VH1, Etc. Rap shows, rap videos exploiting women, gang violence. It seems like all they can do is swear ever other word.

I look into those other groups you mentioned.

Immortal Technique: has a decent amount of swearing and crude concepts, but includes a lot of politically and socially motivated ideas; he just uses the crude analogies to emphasize how passionate he feels about what it is that is wrong. Very interesting to listen to and you almost have to hang on every analogy to really understand what hes saying...

Gang Starr: Not much swearing at all, great beats, and a laid back delivery make them one of my fav. groups hands down. Listen to 'discipline', 'moment of truth', and 'in this life' for decent stuff.

AZ: 'magic hour' and 'the come up' are good songs.

Anything you'd suggest from your playlists? Either of you that is? :wink2:
