Stilhaus Kitchens really are the safest kitchen company to go with as they do everything from start to finish and only ask for payment after completion.

Holiday Greeting Special Days

Posted by Mommacat (Admins) at Mar 18 2013, 07:00 AM. 2 comments

I thought I'd start a new topic header "Holiday Greetings". This can be used for any day that a person wants to wish everyone a happy whatever day. I'll start.... (but you knew that, didntcha?)

Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone - whether you be lucky enough to be Irish or not! :)

I made my usual stew and Irish soda bread for dinner. Now, what I could really appreciate would be a tumbler of fine Irish whiskey to relax away the evening! Failing that, I'll have some coffee with a healthy glug of Bailiey's Irish Cream. Life is good and its good to be Irish!! :)

Aftermath of Sandy

Has everyone noticed the problems caused by this storm and I'm not talking about the damage? The long lines at gas stations and many are just trying to get gas for generators. Surprised to hear that some even have generators but many are digging in dumpsters for food! All this just for a storm. I know it was a bad one but a little prepping would have gone a long way. Can't believe we haven't heard anything about looting. I did hear about a school taking in people but one lady said with all the guns and knives that many have in there, she's not taking her kids in there. I'll bet they think the "end of the world" came a little early in their area.

Before government intervention, the US post office was $9.2 billion dollars in debt. How is it that even though they are that far in debt their checks are all good? I know that MY bank wouldn't be that understanding!!

I found this very interesting and if I have time before I die, I want to try this. Making the shelter would be the first and foremost skill that I would try. If you are caught out in the elements keeping warm and dry is vital. MC, I think that this would be a great project for Man-child! It would keep him busy at any rate :-)
