I have never heard of the group myself and being a pro-life person, I can't imagine doing something like that. I believe that the "slaughter of the innocents" is just a sign of the twisted times that we live in. I wonder what the hell they were looking for...names?? Pictures?? documents of financial dealings?? Whatever it was, that was a crooked way to go about furthering their agenda and will bite them in the ass in the end. Who is going to take them seriously now. This is little more than pro-life watergate.

Not sure, Raven, but if you think about it, if there ever IS any kind of leak about the identities of any one using PP, then that alone will have furthered the agenda of preventing them from getting an abortion. It is a decision that many are okay with, but they would NOT be okay with everyone in town knowing they did it. "Live Action" is the name of the group that PP thinks is behind this. And a Live Action spokesperson would not deny they were behind it. Sounds kinda like they're proud of it! This was on Fox News website yesterday:

Lila Rose, Live Action's founder and president, described Planned Parenthood's assertion as "very interesting." She declined to confirm or deny that the clinic visits were part of a Live Action operation, but did indicate in a telephone interview that an undercover videotape project of some sort was in the works.

"The story that speaks loudest will be in the evidence," she said. "I can't comment until we release the visual evidence."

IMO, I think the story that speaks the loudest would be the one that ends with all of them being rounded up and charged under HIPA privacy laws and sentenced to prison. It's one thing to peacefully demonstrate, etc., but when they actually start breaking the law to try to force their viewpoint against what is a lawful practice, that takes it to a whole 'nother dimension.

I've often thought that if abortion wasn't such a hot-button issue the dialog woud be a lot more civil. For instance, if a person substituted the word "tax protester" instead of "anti-abortionist" and filled in "tax payer" for the word "pro-choice", wouldn't there be a more rational and calm discussion?

I also don't think we can have it both ways - either we want our gov't to stay out of our personal business or we want them to step in and tell us what we can and cannot do. But the latter would mean that we don't get to pick and choose which things we get a choice in, either.

I am all for the government staying out of our business, however, the problem as I see it is that the child is either a child or it is not. The job of the government is to protect the rights of it's citizens, and as a person the rights of the child to live should be protected. People shouldn't be killed because their parents find them inconvienient, an embarrassment, imperfect etc. If the child has a unique DNA and science says that all people have unique DNAs, and if dogs have puppies, cats have kittens then people have people, the arguement goes on. To many people are encouraged to think of this as a "savior" thing.. the ends justifies the means because they are "saving children". When this happens they can be talked into outrageous stupid things that infringe on God given rights. They haven't gotten the idea that you can't defend one right without defending them all. That is to bad because until they do this type of stupidity will continue. In this case the end DOESN'T justify the means.
I would be furious if my medical records were broken into. Instead of taxpayer, how about substitute the words STD victim or something. How many people that have ever had an STD would like that to come out?
Late term abortion is cruel torture and even those women that opt for that should have their privacy. This isn't a chess game and there are no winners in this debate...and there are no easy answers, but what these people did is wrong and they should pay dearly.
Just wanted to add that it is the GOVERNMENTS job to protect the rights of the unborn, NOT the individuals. If the individual does this, it is vigilantism

Yes, I think that no matter what, anyone breaking the law to further any agenda should be treated like any other criminal. I also agree with your assessment that many of the pro-life camp do indeed view themselves as "saviors". I think there are many more pro-life people that would bring about a change with legal and peaceful means than there are radicals bent on "avenging the death of innocents", but its kind of sign of the times that the radicals are the ones that get the most press.
