I watched the video and I'd agree it is scary, however, I am not entirely convinced that was the sound of gun fire. I believe it was firecrackers being set off. It just doesn't have the even cadence and sameness of decibels that gunfire does. Gun fire has an unmistakable "retort". Of course, I could be wrong and it could have been 8 tommy guns being fired by warring gangs! But, in all seriousness, I'd be scared as hell to be an EMT in a large city - for one thing, druggies may decide you've got a van full of "happiness" and they want to take it from you. Or, just the idea of being caught in the crossfire of a turf war while trying to help the wounded is scary enough. I think EMTs should be allowed to carry and they should always have an officer riding "shotgun" in the bigger cities. |

I've been to Detroit a few years ago and really wouldn't doubt that it was gunfire. That hell hole is full of some sick animals. Middle of the day police were racing through town minimum 70mph. You had to take your chances crossing the street. One evening we were talking to a holiday inn waitress about a shooting and killing on the news. She said it was in her neighborhood and happens all the time. Nothing new to her or anyone else, just everyday life! I guess if you live there you get used to that kind of thing. No wonder there are riots for no real reasons in those places. Just think if they had a real reason.

Anyone else see the Formerly unknown volcano activity off Saudi Arabia? Just saw Prophecy film's '12 assessment and though I'm not 100% in agreement with their assessment, it comes close to having the most details in a short vid. See prophecyfilm.com if you get the chance. |

Supreme Court Decision This is an encouraging break from the status quo! The Supreme Court opinion validating, of all things, the CONSTITUTIONAL right of American churches to not be held to the employment standards of other corporations is a major set back for Barry & Co. Read this article and you'll see what I mean. Edited by Mommacat, Jan 14 2012, 08:32 AM.

Apparently, Rhode Island is taking measures to not adopt some of the crap going through legislation. If anyone wants the story, let me know and I'll dig for it. |
