Raven, when we were there last, you talked about pork for sale. I have some questions about that. Do you sell it by the pound or by the animal? I want to buy some from you, but would like a ballpark estimate of what it would cost. Also, do you sell halfs? I don't really have the storage for a whole one and wondered about that. However, if you don't, I know I could find someone to go in with me on it. I did go to your website and didn't see any price info and I suppose that's because "market price" varies so much from day to day. Is that what you go by or do you just have a set amount that you charge? I don't know anything about it - I have bought whole and halfs of beef and pork in the past, but I don't really remember the details and it was so long ago that I am sure things have changed drastically! It makes a big difference when you go from feeding 4 people down to one and then since I've kind of kicked prepping into high gear, I am back to wanting to buy things in bigger quantities. Besides all of which, I love the idea of "REAL" meat - there is no comparison in the taste to what you get at the grocery store. Thanks for any info you can offer! :) Oh, it would be good to know the next available time a person could get a pork.

I do have someone who was asking about a half hog, I will find out if she is still interested and let you know. If you go to my website and click on the "for sale" tab and then on the "reserve your meat" tab, the info about buying a half hog will come up (or should). A friend of mine and I are putting together mixed meat boxes that consist of grass finished beef, pastured pork, free range chicken and turkey. (that's a plug :-) we are just finalizing our plans and getting the brochures ready to go, when we are done, I will post that here and put the info about each of the boxes on my blog...THANKS for asking!!

That was sort of an invitation for a plug! But, I honestly did want to know - and I really do want to buy some "real" meat, too!! I looked on your website, but guess I didn't look hard enough! Thanks for the info! Oh, and let me know about the when part of it, too - I guess I can do that from your site, though, too. :)
