I Don't Know What I'm Doing
Someone here needs to read it damnit. Cause I have realized I have NOBODY to fanderp about it with, despite that fact that it is awesome and funny in the most unexpectedly weird ways, which makes me a very sad panda, and also kind of angry but just because I am lonely.

... appease the 6th? :V

MSPaintAdventures

starting with Problem Sleuth is recommended, it's a much shorter/easier read than Homestuck and actually sets up a lot of the running gags. And it's not as pointlessly ridiculous as Jail Break/Bard Quest.

Alternately, if fans pop out of the wood work this would be a good place to name yourself cause I'm lonelier in this thing than a crazy old cat lady sans all the cats.

Word to all: Faygo is a shitty soda and whoever invented the stuff should have his pants hiked up to his armpits, be chained to the flogging jut and be made a fucking example of. The only way you could like it is out of irony and if you do that sort of thing you're a massive douchecanoe anyways. So please, anyone who is tempted to try it just for the lulz or whatever, don't. Just don't.

.... *downs the last of the bottle* ... Oh gog I think I'm gonna be sick.

Heh, amusing. I just started with Homestruck, since that's what was up on the link you posted. It's amusing, but it splits off into different times or locations too much, making it really difficult to follow at times. What's up with the Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff or whatever it is they keep linking to?

It's another comic done by Andrew Hussie and is pretty much just a running gag. I don't think it serves any purpose but to be an exaggerated parody of webcomics that fail to be funny and/or good.... which actually makes it kind of ironically funny.

It DOES get confusing sometimes. I had to re-read stuff on a number of occasions. It gets even worse later on. But if your Sparing Human Intellect Doesn't Assume The Most Ingratiating Posture Of Surrender Imaginable When The Topic Of Temporal Mechanics Is Broached, I think you'll do just fine.

One thing you should know is the whole thing is, at the very least, semi-reader-driven, which is why the beginning is so random and the plot shifts so much.

Problem Sleuth looks like it's just idiotic nonsense. I only got partway into chapter 2 before I stopped reading. Does it explain anywhere why all possible Strife actions begin with A?

Problem Sleuth is idiotic nonsense because for the first couple of chapters, all the progression is made by reader prompts. Which were more often than not retarded. It gets better later but it's still random as hell with no particular plot. Jailbreak and Bard Quest are even worse. So if that's not your cup of tea, then Homestuck is prolly the better option since Hussie actually has a plan for that one.

... And I seriously hadn't thought about that before. Maybe it's just cause alliteration is fun?

It's not just the prompts. Most of the time, the result just seems to be giving the reader the middle finger. "Climb out window ==> It's not a window" "Open combination safe ==> You need a key" "Answer phone ==> It's not wired properly" etc. Although they might deserve it for the low quality prompts...

I suppose if you're going to use alliteration you might as well allow alliteration as an alternative also. Agreed?

I'm assuming the reader prompts was to somewhat allow the readers to decide what happens. At the very least, seeing the action that's about to be taken written out gives the reader an idea of what's about to happen. Frequently, that action is impossible for some reason or other, and the reader has no indication of this beforehand. For example, we have no way of knowing that the office completely lacks windows, despite the sleuth somehow being able to throw a cinderblock out of one. A bit of silliness is fine, like the telephone, but Problem Sleuth just goes overboard with it.
