The Fearless Leader
the sound of birds singing was music to the stallion's ears. It had been far too long a winter, and the giddy chirping made the young alpha's heart soar. Smiling softly to himself, Hawkeye dipped his muzzle into the cool water , drinking deeply. The clear, sparkling water was even more refreshing than the stallion could have imagined. Looking around and feeling a bit foalish for a moment, the vanner cross jumped into the lake. Whickering happily, Hawkeye swam around, enjoying the way the water splashed against his face. |

The Golden
It was a beautiful day, if a bit cloudy. It was warming up, and Arianna felt the touch of spring, happy for the cold winter months to be over. She trotted along the shores of the lake, one of her favorite haunts, happily. Her tail and head held high, she cut a graceful figure. The rhythmic sway of her banner-like tail with her gait was almost melodic, and she thought perhaps to hum to herself. Ah! But there was a rather large splash in the lake, startling her. Shying to the side, away from the shores, she stood, alert, looking out over the lake. Oh, it was Hawkeye, wasn't it? Had she already strayed that far away from the Acres? And besides that, what was the alpha of Khoya doing all the way out here? She paused, watching from a distance. Best not to get too close if that alliance in the storm wasn't enough to keep her out of trouble... |
