I meant from general people, not the media. There are plenty of people you meet everyday who are weary of Governments and people in positions of authority, that have opinions not a million miles away from Icke on most subjects, especially those on Government corruption and the wars, etc.

But no one even considers that because the queenz a lizard and the moon is a hollow spaceship.

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. David Icke makes some interesting points, but was still a nutjob.

Just for that, you can consider yourself tarred with the same brush.

Different opinions don't make someone a nutjob, though.

In my opinion, unless you go on a Moat rampage, you aren't a nutter. He has done nothing to harm anyone in anyway. He's just different. If anyone in the conspiracy scene can take that label, it has to be David Shayler because he took too many mushrooms and now thinks he is a woman.

David Icke's biggest threat is that he discusses taking ayahuasca and magic mushrooms and thinks we're all one, not unlike some religions. Crazy.

*EDIT - Scrap the above, THIS is a nutjob*

No, David Icke had a mental breakdown and claimed to be the Son Of God on a national television programme whilst wearing an awful shellsuit. He also believes the world is controlled by giant lizards. He is in the strictest medical terms a nutjob.

I know a guy who sits on the same train every morning, trying his best to be one of the lucky ones who actually get's a seat for the 45 minute journey into his job where he does the exact same thing every single day.

He's told me he hates his job, and hates that train journey.

Despite that fact he'll continue doing this until he's old and the best of his life has passed him by simply because he insists on paying a mortgage and the loan on a car which he feels he has to upgrade every few years in order to maintain an image of success.

He's more of a nutjob than David Icke.

Not really. Icke thought he was the son of God.

An ex of mine was really good friends with his son and used to go round the house all the time when she lived on the Isle of Wight, apparently he's a lovely bloke (David that is). I consider a lot of what he says to be interesting and insightful and the rest hilarious. His accusations of paedophilia are quite intriguing though. I'd quite like to go to one of his talks, but I've heard tell they can be up to eight hours long.

I'm fairly sure he was trying to imply that we are all the sons of God in some sense. Thats what he wrote later anyway, and considering his opinion of religion i'd tend to believe him on that one.

See, the problem is that 99% of the population get their information about him from sources such as The Sun and the like.

Anyone who actually takes the time to check his site out and actually read what he says will usually find that he makes a lot of sense, even if his theories on the origin of the royal family are questionable to say the least.

Still, he hasn't been disproven, has he? ;)

I saw his Wogan interview; he's a full-on nutjob, away with the fairies, barking at the moon, he's got a packet of screws loose, he's not even nearly all there, he was dropped at birth, window-licks, his mum sews mittens onto his coats, call an ambulance, call the men in white coats, crazy.

David Icke is a turquoise shellsuit wearing head the ball. I honestly don't think how anyone can see any different, he's a fucking mentalist!

I always ask - how can a man who goes on national TV, national radio and all over the internet and make accusations of public figures being paedos not get sued by at least one of them?

Especially ironic when most of those accused have associates who get done for gay sex and child abuse. Is there a member of the Republican party who hasn't been caught sucking cock in a public bog now? Jeff Gannon is the most humorous case of the whole thing.

Not sure how well his son, Gareth, will do with his pop career though. Then again, BBC had him on that snooker program a few months ago so I guess his public image isn't that big of a deal now.

If you've ever heard is stuff you'll come to the conclusion that he'll go nowhere. It's bland, anaemic stuff.
