I don't really worry about Sarah Palin as she is so obviously a nutter and is at least out in the public domain with all of that.

If you look at the results of the recent elections in the US, the super-right Tea Party candidates got fairly roundly rejected at the polls, showing that voters on both sides of the aisle are prepared to come together and vote them down.

I'm not sure there are that many people in this country who DO believe what politicians say, to the extent that the political classes have a hard time getting over any complex policies. If you watch BBC News you regularly see presenters and journalists duffing up politicians, quite often without real cause. I think cynicism is alive and well in the UK.

It'll be interesting to see what else comes out of the WikiLeaks docs, but so far it really just confirms what people have suspected about our world leaders rather than revealed any huge lies and/or conspiracies etc.

I actually read Wikileaks and found myself agreeing with the US Government’s point of view most of the time, which is probably not what the Guardian intended when they published it.

I guess WikiLeaks is more Noam Chomsky and Michael Moore level conspiracy/mistrust as opposed to David Icke and Alex Jones.

Still gives admitted Government stamped proof they're a bunch of lying, two faced creeps who outright lie to get what they want at the expense of everyone, they're own people too.

Assange releases the truth and he is chased by the whole planet - the bankers anal rape everyone and gets million pound/dollar bonuses. That alone says all you need to know about the world today, lol.

Yeah, it's for a film called Battle: LA, or something. And news outlets are reporting it like it's real.

I bet you 4p that this turns up in the Daily Star.

I haven't even heard of that movie. That's a brilliant marketing campaign. The fact news places are falling for it as opposed to simple spackers like me says it all.

Has anyone got a link claiming this is a viral or is it just talk? I can't find anything.

*Edit - this link is just for fun:

Funny that these videos have gained enough popularity over the weeks to, I assume, be the source of an April Fools article. The moment a second one popped up, the usual places were claiming some sort of MK Ultra programme breakdown.

I guess conspiracy theory is mainstream enough now that this sort of thing can be used as a joke and understood by most. Snazzy.

Wasn't Roswell supposedly 1947? That's dated 1950.

I imagine they will have kept questioning after the fact with Project Bluebook nevermind with the hubbub Roswell caused.

I'd find it odd if the FBI site hosted a hoax document from a Freedom of Information request.
