It's all about context really. It all comes down to aforementioned reference and intent.

Yeah i'm the same as Dave, i'll laugh if it's funny.

I thought this was a good article about the Jimmy Carr business that was quite funny too, by The Mirror's Brian Reade

Can anyone tell me the name of a comedian that featured on More 4's 'The World's Most Offensive Joke' From what I can remember he was talking about how his Dad raped him when he was a kid when he got caught smoking.

I was talking to Colin Kane after one of his shows and he was saying that he had been dubbed a shock comedian by his detractors and his defence was that the ones who try to shock are simply trying to offend people whereas he is using offensive subjects to make people laugh which is something else entirely. And I agree with that, I thought he was hilarious.

Also, he's a photo of me on stage with him looking like a bellend, absorbing the boos from the New York crowd after he asked me what I thought of New York City and I said i'd seen better:

As a Scot and fellow Glaswegian, seeing the hubbub Mr Frank Boyle is kicking up fills me with a bit of pride. I am a slight fan of his, in that I've urinated myself when I've seen him but I haven't seen him a lot.

I love offensive humour - its funny. I even find that joke about Mr T being Baby P's dad funny because of the stupid use of the initial only to stop using it completely after everyone knew about it.

As has been said though - it's about your intention. I've called some pretty devout Muslims stupid paki cunts and told them to go back home to their face but they worked with me for 5 years and knew I was pissing about and they gave me it back because I am Scottish and living in England, I am not even home myself.

You can pretty much say anything to someone and not cause any harm if people know you aren't really a bigot cunt. The problem is when you take it out of a personal conversation context. That's when you get the white students protesting everything because they know better than the nig nogs you're joking about when it comes to prejudice.

When a person's feelings have been hurt, that's when I would feel that the comedy has gone too far.

The man said he did not try to offend the player. He just threw his banana in anger and it happened to fall near Roberto Carlos by chance. We found no racist intent.

I don't usually mind him, but I was very disapointed by his stand up DVD, it said on the back that this show is for people with no moral compas, I never felt at any time in it's duration that he was nearing the edge, at all.

Why make a joke at the expense of Rebecca Adlington anyway, I mean, WTF?

She's not exactly a National Treasure, she's a decent athlete.

She's no more a National Treasure than Greg Searle.
