Well played that man! It may surprise some of you to learn that I have recently given up weed. I think I had reached the point when it had become more of a chore than a pleasure. The first couple of weeks were hell and a sure sign I had become somewhat psychologically dependent on it – I had real problems sleeping without it! However it’s been a few months now and I’m feeling much better without it, I certainly have a lot more “get up and go”, although some of my dub reggae collection doesn’t sound quite as good as it used to. It’s gonna be the cigarettes next for Honky as I’m smoking more of them now and not really enjoying it either. Fear not, I haven’t quite fully embraced the straight edge lifestyle and I’m still drinking lots and lots of booze. |

So I havent smoked since Sunday now, but i've been drinking a hell of alot more than usual. At least it's better than eating everytime I fancy a fag, which i've seen happen way too much. |

Brave man. I quite substantially when I first got a proper job, but I've slipped back into it now. Generally I abstain during the week and go for it on the weekends. It's one of life's real pleasures so I don't plan on stopping any time soon. |

Without being too gay about it, I never really realised how all consuming my usage had become until I stopped. It wasn’t even a social thing for me anymore. I hope maybe one day to have a cheeky toke in the right context, and I think it’s a great thing used wisely but the days of me knocking out an ounce a month are hopefully well and truly over. |

I copletely understand Honky, I gave up smoking weed a long time ago just because I became extremely boring. It was the realisation that I don't need to be stoned to sit around playing computer games and eating crisps in my pants. It was when I missed out on going out for the night because I had spent my last 40 quid getting half an ounce. I last had a smoke this past November at a bonfire night party and really enjoyed it in a social setting whilst letting off fireworks. I'm trying to get some for when I go away to the Download festival next month and came to the realisation I've lost all my old contacts. This is because a couple of my old mates are still boring stoners and they're simply no fun to hang around if you're not stoned yourself. That coupled with the fact that the dealers I knew have been put away mean I haven't got a clue where to get any. |
